I think I'm gonna prioritize making more cards to sell after I finish a couple of things. I enjoy painting them more than a lot of other things. Watercolor and gouache are so.... I'm failing to find the word. But they bring me joy. I love seeing how the watercolor bleeds and blends together. And gouache is like... the opacity of acrylic with the thinness of watercolor. So interesting~
When I get home, I'm gonna try to record that swatch video ASAP. Side note - I did highlight that tape pulling video but I hate the audio quality. My mic settings are so bad. And I kept hitting the mic with the painting. So unpleasant. I'm considering still posting but with a voice-over instead... Unsure yet.
Anyway. I painted that sunflower right before the event. The others I did either a couple weeks ago or y e a r s ago. Like these -
I apologize for the sideways photos.
But these all featured the original artwork, simply scanned and printed on cardstock that I cut out and packaged up years ago. This one has an assortment of all the designs I had at the time, 5 in total. Shown are Pedro McD and Amadeus, but Mr Benjamin, Harold II, and Prince Hendrix are in the baggie too.
One of the other vendors said they'd wanna listen to a soundtrack that's inspired or "played" by my band of musicians (not knowing who he was actually talking to LOL). So I might think about that in the future. Especially once I've come up with a full band...
I have drum kit, timpani, tenor sax, bass guitar, triangle, and tambourine. And...the pan flute. Imma have to figure out what/who else. Any instrument suggestions? I need to make a new birthday card lol
Also - which of these cards is your favorite? What would you like to see more of?
