Overhaul, tweaks and fixes...

If you are on my Discord Server (as you should be. I mean.. seriously...), or follow me on Twitter, you are most likely aware that I became a father for my second son four days ago. This is obviously awesome and all that, but has limited the amount of hours I get each day to spend modding. That being said, I am still on the ball, and I have gotten quite a bit of work in every night even after the kid arrived. But for this transitional phase, I hope you can bare with me if the updates comes on more of a bi-weekly than weekly basis for a little while.

This update contains mostly fixes, tweaks, overhauls and things of that nature, but it's important stuff to get the mod working as perfectly as possible. After I implemented the Xanax, I figured I needed to rework the rest of the drugs to work similar to that system, as it is way more controllable for me, and works in a way more realistic fashion. In this version I have reworked the cocaine part. If you experience anything weird with cocaine or Xanax, please let me know as I haven't had time to play for hours, but merely stress-test it.

Note: If you have a cocaine addicted Sim, he or she will have lost the addiction with this update. If you want them to stay addicted, bring up the cheat console (with your Sim active and selected) and type: bm_coke

• Fixed buying drugs or paraphernalia on Tablets

Exchange Sex for Drugs

• Selling sex for drugs now triggers the Wicked Whims sex

How it works

Cocaine

It works largely like it used to, but the behind the scenes stuff in terms of OD and Addiction potential should be more realistic now. There are also some tweaks to the removal of other hangovers. If you snort multiple lines of average cocaine they will be removed, but only one line of good cocaine will also do the trick.

Sidenote: I have heard people saying that when they play vampires the drug buffs lasts about half the amount of time as on their humans, with this new system that should not be the case.

Xanax

There was a major glitch in the previous versions of the Xanax where the OD potential didn't reset. Meaning that if you popped 2 or 3 Xanax in a row on day one, day, two, day three, and so on, you would most likely get an OD on day four. This should not be the case any longer.

Ayahuasca

I noticed this glitch by "accident", and I haven't had any reports on it, so either people aren't using the Ayahuasca that much, or people haven't realized that it wasn't working.

The "Close Eyes and Drift Away" interaction that might occur during the trip which might transport the Sim to the glade of trippiness apparently broke in the latest game patch.

That is fixed now and you can fully break through to the other side, once again.

Exchange Sex for Drugs

Thanks a bunch to Turbodriver for sorting this one out. Now, whenever you exchange sex for drugs from your active cocaine or amphetamine dealer the sex interaction will trigger, so you don't have to initiate the interaction manually.

The plan is to implement this feature for when you exchange sex for drugs with your dealer when you are an addict as well, but for now, that works as it did before.

Other Fixes

Buying Drugs or Paraphernalia on tablets was broken. That is now fixed. Simple as.

There was some old lines of code left from a previous version of the mod that required 25% level of friendship with a Sim to remove them as a client, that is no longer needed, and you can remove them no matter your relationship level.

Vampires who are hissing have this thing where they loose a bunch of friendship whenever they sporadically hiss at Sims. This made playing a dealing, hissing, immortal sleepwalker rather tricky. The friendship needed for sales to be successful for these individuals has now been reduced drastically.

Whenever you muted your customers on your phone, the celebrities would still be calling. Not anymore. Whenever you mute your customers, all customers are muted.

Installation Instructions

• Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
• Download Basemental Drugs 2.0.4.80
• Unzip Basemental Drugs 2.0.4.80
• Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder
• Remember to delete your localthumbcache.package
• Stuff not showing up properly? - place the files directly in your Mods folder.
