Choose One: Appendices or Not Appendices

I'm currently considering including appendices to list and present all the ancestries, motivations, and the upcoming bestiary entries.

So far, the listing of the ancestries and motivations alone takes around 25 pages of the first chapters, which makes the scrolling a bit awkward.

If appendices are included, there will be only one chapter to guide through the character creation, which will refer to the appropriate appendices to choose the ancestries and motivations.

What's your call?

I forgot you already had the separate file, in which case I personally prefer putting them in an appendix as it makes it easier when referring to a specific part of character creation or finding the right part when a player asks me about the process.

I exactly know what you mean. It is definitely a trade off, which might be justified, as Craig pointed out, taking into account that in vanilla Ironsworn the character creation process is in parallel, since assets come in a different file. I'm also considering implementing an optional trait mechanic for further character customization, which is an adaptation of the traits mechanic you find in Torchbearer. I expect that will add 15 more pages to the character creation process, since they will be around 90 (6 per page). The player will choose only two. This will imply more scrolling. I'm also indecisive about what to do here, which is why I need the voting.

I'm very indecisive, because it's a trade off between clarity and logical flow. Appending the clutter gives more clarity while leaving it in the chapter gives a better flow, since when creating a character you usually want to go chronolgocial instead of parallel which would happen when you have to constantly skip between chapter and appendix (which might involve just as much scrolling perhaps).
