this episode is a masterpiece. pretty much every episode is from here on out. Btw, Kyokos entiire backstory, and her romance with Tohrus father got separated from the main series and moved to its own movie. So you can see the details there of Kyokos depression phase

Brace yourselves for the next couple ones though, it will be an intense ride until the end. BTW, Not sure if you know this but they released a movie (like an special episode) that is focused on Kyoko. It is canon since it was a story part of the original manga that they decided to split for multiple reasons. I hope you checked that after this season is over. It is a really interesting one.

Tohru's personality is shown in a new light this episode. π€― The fact that she felt that she needed to copy her father's way of speaking in order to not lose her mom. Kyoko was in so much grief at the time, and Tohru might of felt that her mom would leave her in some way. Tohru finally lashing out was a powerful scene because, for Kyo, this moment Tohru was vulnerable, like a deep-core type of vulnerability. The last couple of minutes was insane. The funeral episode in season 1 was foreshadowing more than we thought.
