actually the anime never had any issues with covid. Yukis english voice actor accidentally leaked before season 1 aired (so this was back in 2018/19) that the anime would be 63 episodes long. So they were budgeted for 63 episodes from the start. So they always planned on upping the pacing towards the end. Shoujo in general RARELY gets an adaptation thats more than 12-13 episodes, so even getting 63 episodes and a movie is more than enough for me. Even tho i miss a few bits from the manga that didn't get adapted, I actually think season 3 has the best crafted episodes.
