Yeah technically, they could basically skip the last vol, but for completeness' sake could put it in if they doing 16 eps again. S3 had an odd ep count.

2025-02-19 09:00:47 +0000 UTCThey could have just skipped/condensed the whole cgi bug fight to get to Lyutilis. They actually have the 6 base magics already (one from each labyrinth). It's been a long 2.3 seasons so you may have forgotten how OP Red Rando of Death/White Fang Hurricane has gotten by clearing the labyrinths. The magic stuff is pretty interesting. The final labyrinth (7th) coming up ties things together. It's pretty cool. The explanations make a lot of sense too. Nice world building. They could have actually finished the main story if they did 26 eps and cut some of the fluff but S3 is 16 for some reason (so finished at vol 10, leaving 4 vols left for S4 - maybe 16 eps again).
