2023-01-27 14:12:24 +0000 UTCI know! And there’s not many reactions from any of these films and it’s a shame. These films were killing it back in the day when Disney wasn’t doing very good. They had The Great Mouse Detective but that was about it and even though I love that film it didn’t do as well as these other ones.

I think it's a really special movie when you consider how different it was to mainstream animated movies of that same time--that gorgeous score by Jerry Goldsmith, and the most gruesome moments (especially when compared to the Disney movies at the time).

2023-01-22 20:36:53 +0000 UTCI'm pleasantly surprised that Mary Poppins is getting such support. Even though the title is well-known, I got the impression it wasn't a movie the younger generations had actually watched much of (as opposed to Disney's purely animated movies).
