One of the big screw-ups for the anime adaptation of this, is not including Juggernaut's POV. If I'm remembering correctly, it was a sentient/intelligent monster and the LN had it's POV as well as everyone else's. Really gave more depth and focus on the dungeon aspect and brought home how hopeless things really were for Bell and Ryuu

2024-04-18 01:53:36 +0000 UTCAnd while I don't agree with such a low rating from you guys. I understand where you got it from. It's cheesy, it drags on sometimes and some characters get on your nerves. But you intend to go for Season 5 anyway. Doesn't that alone say that you're enjoying it more than if it truly were a 6.5 rating show?

2024-04-16 10:05:24 +0000 UTCI feel like it shows how much we're spoiled in some shows with instant gratification. As you guys point out, there's a lot back and forth and everyone needs to get a word in. But isn't that exactly how real conversations go? You need to know everyone's stance before you move forward. We've been spoiled with a lot of good shows over the years that just get straight to the point.

2024-04-16 10:02:56 +0000 UTCMama Mia may have made too much risotto, but Ryu is too full from all of Bell's Rizz-otto.

2024-04-16 01:01:19 +0000 UTCI think JC Staff does a good job with the animation but I've not been impressed with the story adaptation on any of DanMachi seasons. I will say one thing about this season though. Fujino Omori, in the LN, probably stretched this story line out longer than it needed to be. An example, towards the end Bell and Ryu were on the verge of death several times battling the Juggernaut and had to "dig deep within themselves" to keep fighting. As I was reading I kept thinking to myself " how many times are they going to keep finding that little extra when they should be done". It soured the story to my opinion. I do enjoy the story in of it self, but there are definite week points to it. Great reaction though. Keep up the good work.

2024-04-16 00:54:35 +0000 UTCWhile I do agree the light novels do go along a bit quicker, it was also 3+ volumes worth of content. The fight against Amphisbaena alone was almost a whole book by itself. They had to take almost a full week of content, already in 3 packed novels, and then adapt it to a 22 episode season. Already there were so many changes. Like I said, fully agree (except for the rating), but it is as close to an actual adaptation that the series could possibly be. My only complaint, is honestly the rating, and that is only because of bias as DanMachi was both my first Light Novel and my first Anime. Keep up the great work!
