It's great to hear your theories on Akito and the curse. It gets more cryptic but also more clear as the story goes on. Believe me when I say this series is perfect for rewatching because you will see incredible amounts of foreshadowing you had no idea was there. And everything ties together beautifully. Every character, every story is connected. They're each a smaller part of one unforgettable story.
