Also, regarding the free will discussion... He Who Remains is trying to prevent timelines where his evil variants rise to power. I would assume that he is from the 31st Century in the main timeline, and since he turned out good... he's pruning any differences in other timelines because they don't match up with his timeline and could contribute to a bad variant coming to be.

2022-01-19 20:53:51 +0000 UTCThe TVA is completely outside of time. So Sylvie didn't send Loki to another timeline or TVA, when she killed He Who Remains, Kang immediately took over the TVA (and since he can also exist out of time, he basically rebooted it in his image).
