If Nick is fine doing more reactions I would say Disney & Musical as his reaction 'niche' would be actualy very natural pattern. I think people clamor for more people in reactions just for the sake of 'interactions's of reactors. I know this is why some of he YT mainstays stuck around, You come for reactions you stay for interactions. I think people have seen your enjoyment of Starkid productions and draw a line to all other musicals. But Musicals in itself is so broad and complex one cannot say 'it is musical you must enjoy it'. I can say if you a Starkid fan you may enjoy something like Muzzled (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNUUFYHjnIo) where you even get a lot of same cast. I would not send you to check out Moulin Rouge or Spring Awakening as beside label 'musical' they would have nothing in common in what was in Starkid productions.

I’ve tried to watch a reaction where the reactor was clear they were hating every moment of the movie. It ruins it. So, if this is a real fear, then I’d say stick to it. Or pass it to someone else! Or! Maybe react with someone who has seen it and can point out the redeeming qualities? Idk, but I’m definitely on board for keeping it all enjoyable- for you and me! 😊

Hey Anika! Thanks for writting this down! This is exactly what I have been thinking but didn't dare to put down. I think you are absolutely on point. I get the very supportive and positive sentiment of many of the comments here and I share it completely! Yet it has somehow taken the focus away from the topic of the original post and conversation (that they deleted), which was that a lot of the patreon audience here seems to have HUGE interest on a specific movie they have chosen to ignore and suddenly reject without really explaining why. While they have every right to do everything they wish with their own channel and we are happy to support them in their choices, it is also true that they have built a community with us here, and that just as in any successfull relationship, the wishes and desires of both parties involved should probably have equal importance... In the end it is just a two hour movie and nothing else. It's so not that big of a deal! Why wouldn't they just put it up in the polls for their audience to decide, and then share the experience with us all if that's what people end up really wanting?

I understand not reacting to everything that people ask for. But I also feel that people have reaction channels to expand their views, and watch things they didn't think they would be interested in. I feel like the reactions are for your audience/paying customers, as much as they are for you to experience things. I believe that most people who recommend things, or say that they think you may like it are saying that because they really want to share the experience with you. We all joined this Patreon to have a more intimate relationship with you all. I would only recommend things based on how I see you react to other things. You can't know you will like something or not without even giving it a try. I understand if you don't want to react to something because it is against your morals. And even if it's not your thing, it's a movie, not a full series that you would have to commit to. I don't see the harm in reacting to something that you may or may not like, that is recommended from your audience. In the end, if you wanted to stay completely in what you know, you would have created a channel just for you. But that's not what you did. The channel is for the people. I know this may be an unpopular opinion. But as a business owner, I can't help but see it from a business prospective. I joined this site, because I liked your Youtube videos. I liked your personalities, and the points of view that you all have. I am with the group that feels like it seems like you all have been a little behind with your media, and you bring up more and more things to add on to your plate. I worry you all will burn out. I personal like things as is. But I haven't been here too long (maybe only a month). So, I don't know if how things have been now, are how they are all the time. With all that said, I do still thoroughly enjoy the reactions that I have chosen to watch on this page. I don't want it to seem like I don't.

Would have personally been curious to see your's or Nick's reaction to it but as others have already stated it's your channel so at the end of the day it's up to you what content you guys put out & if some folks don't like that well they'll just have to get over it. Seriously though I (& I'm sure the other commentor's here will agree) am sorry on behalf of the pushy lot. I'd hope the majority of your fan base would be polite & I hate the thought that any of us might make you feel bad or start regretting stepping into the YouTube limelight. This channel is supposed to be a fun surppotive place where we come to chat about our love of movies(+ extra now) not a place to get demanding, arrogant or whiney. I get feeling a bit dispointed but please always remember you guys are allowed to say no to anything you don't want to do. Your content creators (& from what I've seen so far, very sweet ones 😊) not circus animals for your "fans" to poke until you perform the way they want you to.

This is rather unrelated to the general conversation but, did you know Morgan Freeman has said in a couple of interviews that Moulin Rouge was his favorite movie? It's hard, because I think part of the reason I like watching channels like this is when the reactors watch something they generally wouldn't watch and give it a chance, and actually realise that they like something they may have never originally tried before. But I also know you guys don't have as much time as other channels - I follow a channel that upload multiple shows every day - so you guys must want to put out content that is positive and fun, and I would never want you guys to fake a happy reaction just for the fans of a movie/show either. It does suck there are quite a few things you guys don't want to watch/don't have time for, but thems the breaks unfortunately. And as long as you're transparent with things I don't mind. Like, I would hate to constantly request something and have it never be addressed. I know people seem to react strongly which is upsetting, but eventually people get over it/end up understanding (especially if you make a second post)

Guys, it's your channel. If you don't want to watch something, don't watch it. And the people 'pushing' you to watch something need to understand that if you're pressured into watching something, you're not going to enjoy it. So it would be a disappointing reaction. I mean, how many people wanted you to continue watching Buffy? I was among them. And even though I know you guys were enjoying the small taste of it you got, I wasn't going to push you to continue. It would just cast a shadow over the rest of your experience. And that would lessen your experience. And honestly, we aren't subscribed to you because you're going to react to a single movie or TV show we might like. Anyway, it's only Moulin Rouge. Definitely not worth crying over... Everyone has film preferences, not everyone is going to like certain movies and that's absolutely fine. I love your content whether you watch this movie or not :)

You definitely shouldn't watch something you don't want to watch. I know for me personally, if I am forced to watch something, I end up hating it simply because I didn't want to watch it.

It must be a difficult thing to manage because you’re asking for suggestions but then you know you can’t get through everything and not everything is going to be your cup of tea. To avoid getting spammed though a quick update about “hey this isn’t really our thing so probs won’t do it but maybe one day” would suffice I reckon to stop being spammed with the same thing over and over. That way at least everyone knows you’re listening and not ignoring!!

I mean I agree with everything that has already been said here. I understand both sides and it's a really tough call to make. Ultimately we want you to enjoy your reactions so please don't ever feel pressured. At the same time I think that we are all passionate about certain films which is what makes this community so great but that also means some responses can feel a bit pushy. Please don't take that personally because you guys are doing a great job and I know we all really appreciate everything you do for us :)

It's a tricky situation...at the end of the day it's your chanel and you can react to whatever you want without explaining yourself. But then I get why people want you to react to their favorite musical, especially that you are currently doing quite a few movies from this genre. Whether you react to it or not on this platform - I recommend you to give it a go in your free time just to see if that's something you enjoy :) If after first half an hour you are not sold on it.- just let it go haha :D Have a great day, can't wait for more reactions. Have you heard about musical called "Once"? It's pretty chill, doesn't really feel like a typial musical, it's more like a movie ABOUT music with original songs included :)

No worries! I mostly just asked about it cause I'm new and was unsure if it had ever come up in the polls. While I like that musical, no need to force yourself to watch it. There's plenty of other reactions I'm sure I'll still love watching of you guys.

I understood people wanting you guys to react to a film that they love and wanting you guys to hopefully enjoy it but at the end of the day if you know your probably not going to then you shouldn't watch it. I dont enjoy everything you guys react to so I just dont watch it and the same for you guys.

Its totally fine! If you did react to something you didn't like, I feel like people would still be upset and say you just didn't understand it so it's really a tough situation to be in. You do what is best for you.

Thanks for this second post man! I feel what you mean. I would just point out that people here probably don’t intentionally mean to presume to know what you like or don’t like. They just tell you what they would like! Personally I do not know whether you will like this movie or not. But for sure I know that I would enjoy your reaction to it, whatever this reaction may be, and regardless of whether you end up loving it or hating it! It is an experience of a movie, and the people asking for it probably just want to share that experience with you. It’s like when we are dying to show our closest friends and family our favorite movies and shows, there is just something wholesome about it. :)

While I understand and appreciate you reconsidering, I just hope you guys take care not to feel pressured to watch something you really feel like you won’t enjoy even if your audience expresses disgruntlement. At the end of the day, this is supposed to be fun for you and something you enjoy doing not only for your fans but for yourselves, as well! You guys are so awesome and I believe you are already very open-minded and willing to step out of your comfort zones, as you have shown multiple times before and will continue to do so. While I understand both sides of the conversation... ultimately it's your channel. You guys work really hard to bust out tons of awesome content for us and you're always checking in us, but at the end of the day - the only content I want to see is content you're genuinely happy making.
