Hey friends,
Hope you’re all hanging in there. As promised, I finally have news!
First and foremost, our annual patreon survey is now open. As usual, it’s somewhat lengthy but every question is optional, so it’s a real choose-your-own-adventure in terms of how long you want to spend on it.
As a thank you for completing the survey, you can enter to win a fabulous prize: either a signed copy of 2T2F, a signed show poster, or a trans book not written by me! (Your choice.) I also want to stress that we really do use this feedback to shape what Gender Reveal (and Gender Conceal and live shows and patreon rewards and etc.) looks like moving forward, so it’s really a good chance to #influence the show.
And speaking of “google forms that are open now,” Girl Dad Press has opened submissions for our second anthology! The theme is ~~Sex and the City~~, which I’m currently watching for the first time and boy howdy, there’s a lot going on in there, huh??? Truly cannot wait to see what everyone creates out of this. (The working anthology title is Sex Change and the City which I am personally thrilled about.)
Submissions are open until Oct 21 (one month from today!), and full submission guidelines are available on our website. I’d also really appreciate if you help us spread the word! (Niko made shareable Instagram posts with fun graphics. On and on X also.)
Sunday night is our Union Hall live show, which is sold out, BUT! A couple people on the Gender Detective Slack have extra free tickets, so hit them up if you’re interested.
The following night, I’ll be part of a free Brooklyn Book Festival event at Franklin Park! The wonderful Jeanne Thornton invited me to participate in a panel that also includes Silver Sprocket’s Joan Zahra Dark and authors Lydia Xhoga and Annell López. Jeanne wrote a bunch of really thoughtful questions about existing in ~community~ that I’m excited to dive into. (I’ll also be selling copies of 2T2F there, theoretically.)
Here’s Links & Stuff:
