Fran Tirado! Rewards update! Are ghosts real?

Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I finally remembered to finish up the very last round of $10 patreon rewards, so if I owe you one of those, keep an eye on your mail next week! Meanwhile, I’ve still got, uh, 169 (nice?) sets of stickers to send to $5 folks — they’re coming eventually, I promise.

Speaking of Patreon rewards, listener Sarah Connor very kindly made some new logo art for our patron-only podcast feed! I love it.

Anyway, we’ve got Fran Tirado on the show this week! I hadn’t realized how much we had in common until I was researching the episode and was like “Wait…. This is ME????” Glad we got a chance to talk about our queer reality tv dreams, our struggles with working too much, our dilemmas over whether we should try to have human relationships (lol!), and mooooore.

Fran is in New York this month organizing a bunch of rad queer events, so definitely follow them on Instagram for updates if you’re in the area (and going to events).

Merch! We’ve still got it! I’m excited that we’ve got two designs that actually say Gender Reveal for once, with profits on those going to our grant & mutual aid funds.

Next week on the show, we’re speaking with THE filthcore queen, Gretchen Felker-Martin. (If you haven’t seen the cover of Manhunt yet, I need you to go look at it right now!!!) We start the interview with “are ghosts real” and then go from there, so get stoked.

Okay, it’s time for Links & Stuff:

If you’re still here, we’ve also got:

That’s it for this week! Here’s your weekly Rhubarb, taken by my roommate as usual.

Loved the discussion of capitalism stealing stuff from activists and turning it meaningless on this week's pod! It reminded me of a recent (I think accessible?) book by a philosopher (Olufemi O. Taiwo) called Elite Capture. It's more about race than queerness, but definitely applies across different groups!
