Hey friends,
Hope you’re all hanging in there. We’ve got a bunch of announcements/reminders this week, which you may or may not have already seen me post about today:
First off, tomorrow is the last day to apply for our spring grant program. We’ve got 250 applications so far, which is about half of what we got last time. And while I would love to not have 500 applications for logistics reasons, I do want folks to apply!!! So, tell your friends if you haven’t yet, please. They can apply and learn more at genderpodcast.com/grant.
Tomorrow is also the last day for this current round of merch! And while I don’t think these designs will be gone forever, I’m not sure when they’ll end up restocked. So, better safe than sorry! Merch shop link is here, and beautiful modeling photos are below.

Photo ID: 1) A hot trans person standing outside, wearing a face mask and the light pink trans knives hoodie 2) Tuck wearing the "skip school, take hormones, kill god" t-shirt 3) same person from the first photo showing the back of the hoodie, which has bigger trans knives!
Thirdly, ICYMI, we released the first full episode of Gender Conceal! It’s a long chat with Hil Malatino about Being Trans and Feeling Bad, in which we discuss doing LSD research on transsexuals in the 1970s, and whether either of us have ever felt gender euphoria in our lives. Available now for all patrons at the $5 level and up.
(Also, as I mentioned in the pod, I am happily accepting new cover art options for Gender Conceal! Although Mckenzee already made this lol.)

Our main event this week is an interview with Edgar Gomez, author of the memoir High Risk Homosexual. (I’m obsessed with the promo photo they took for us, btw.) This interview was SO fun and thought-provoking — what range to talk about “writing to cope with the Pulse nightclub shootings” and “grappling with why your mother did homophobia to you as a child” but also “trying to explain ‘trade forgot to bring poppers to the session’ to your MFA cohort” and “pitching a ‘Don’t Say Straight Bill’” and “explaining how stoners are oppressed on Drag Race”!!! An icon.
Next week on the show, we’ve got beloved (by me) himbo Avery Tucker of Girlpool, whose new album, Forgiveness, came out today(!!!!!!!!!!!!). This episode is not gonna be for you if you hate people who say “like” reflexively (he’s VERY from Los Angeles), but otherwise I think you’ll enjoy it. :)
OK, here's this week's Links & Stuff:

That’s it for this week’s newsletter. Here’s your weekly Rhubarb, taken as usual by my roommate. She is gaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
