Season Nine Spoilers Anagram Game!

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I just abruptly realized that I need to leave the house in half an hour, so this one is gonna be quick. (These always take a while to put together even though it’s like 2 minutes of text? Truly don’t understand.)

Today is the last day for Trans Day of Snack 2022 merch!!!! If you’ve ever wanted a pink tank top of a cupcake eating a cookie (is this cannibalism? Probably not, right?), now is the time to jump on that. Don’t forget that 50% of proceeds are going to our mutual aid fund.

And speaking of which, just wanted to announce that we raised roughly $26,000 during our Trans Day of Visibility and/or Snacks mutual aid drive!!!! Almost all of it came in on TDoV/S itself, which is expected but also wild. What would we do if we didn’t have the one day to be seen??????

Anyway, I’m working on sending out $100 payments to the trans folks of color who applied. I knocked out like 72 payments last night, which means I’m maybe 30% done? I have a hard deadline to get them all done by April 30, but am trying to be faster than that if possible.

However! There’s so much else to work on! For example, we did three interviews this week, which you’ll soon hear as the first three interviews of the show! I was going back and forth on whether to reveal the guest list early or not, and I’ve settled on the most chaotic option, which is to make some anagrams for you. Here they are; good luck!

• There’s a million things to read about the Amazon union. I read this one about the organizers and really enjoyed it.
• Electric Lit published a poem that’s also an interactive flow chart and it’s very spooky and sad and powerful and good.
• Somehow I hadn’t thought about how (obviously) trans Ukranians would still need to access HRT (and other medications) while also fleeing a war! Glad to learn about these mutual aid efforts organized by queer students.
• Not super new info, but yes, the police love to lie about fentanyl and also everything. (There’s also a VERY devastating n+1 piece linked at the bottom, cw suicide if you scroll to there.)
• To end on a lighter note: WE LOVE THE GAY PIRATE SHOW!!!!! (Starring Gender Reveal alum Vico Ortiz, if you can believe it!!!!!!)
