quick heads-up about our new audio feed

Hey friends,

Just a quick note: I'm about to click a button to create our new patreon-only audio feed. Patreon isn't giving us a lot of flexibility in how this happens, so I wanted to give you a tiny explainer. If you don't need one, ignore this!

How do I listen to the new audio feed?

In a moment, everyone on all tiers is going to get a link to your own private RSS feed. This is what allows you to listen to our new, patreon-only audio content! Here is an article about how to add a private RSS feed to your podcast app.

If you use certain apps that don't play well with private RSS feeds (like Spotify) or if you don't want to deal with figuring out how to do this, you can also listen to any audio we publish by clicking play on the Patreon post, or by using the Patreon app. (It sounds weird now but will make sense once it happens, I promise.)

What's going to be in there?

Allegedly, as soon as I click this button, the audio feed should auto-populate with the two audio posts we've shared in the distant past. So if you see those pop up, that will be a sign that everything is working.

As I said, everyone is going to get an RSS link, mostly because Patreon isn't giving me an option to only send one to certain tiers. Going forward, most of the new audio posts will only be available to folks pledging $5 a month or more.

(Truly no offense to everyone paying less, I appreciate you so much!!!!!! I just have to figure out how to pay Jules and myself somehow! But since y'all will have a feed, maybe we'll toss some stuff in there for everyone, who knows!!!)

It's not working! Who should I contact?

Feel free to let me know if something seems glitchy! But I will probably end up pointing you to Patreon customer service, since I am not actually a tech support person.
