Hey everyone,
Hope you're hanging in there. I am thrilled to announce what you likely already know, which is that Gender Reveal is officially BACK for our sixth season.
We're starting off strong with a conversation with TransLash founder and TransLash Podcast host Imara Jones. I admire Imara and her work so much, so I've been absolutely losing my mind about all the nice things she's said about the episode.

What an honor it is to be the first guest on the seventh [sic] season of @gendereveal podcast with @tuckwoodstock! I'm not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best conversations I've ever had. It was truly one for the ages.
In this episode, we talk about Black trans allyship; Imara's letter to the BET; the power of anger in activism; the legacy of Monica Roberts; building better futures; and so much more. Here's one of my favorite parts of the transcript (did we mention that the transcript is already up?), compressed for brevity.
[Right-wingers] are obsessed with us because they understand that if the way that we understand gender becomes widespread, then patriarchy itself is a done deal. And that’s fundamentally why cis women and feminists have to embrace us if they ever want full equality, if they ever want the ability to be able to be defined by their capacities, and talents, and motivation, and not by this combination of rules, and customs, and laws.
That’s what made Ruth Bader Ginsburg so powerful: she committed her whole life to tearing those things down and taking biological determinism out of the law for women. If we're able to do that, then we can have the society that we all want. And that’s why TERFism is a self- literally a self-defeating exercise. You cannot at the same time say, “We want liberation, and freedom, and equality for cis women only” and support biological determinist views on womanhood. It will not work, and you will never be free.

There's so much more brilliance in this episode where that came from — seriously, I've heard from loads of people that they've listened multiple times while taking notes — but I'll let you dive into the episode (or transcript!) for yourself. Let us know what you think!

In merch news, wow, we just have SO much good merch right now! Friend of the show Beth Easton sent us a charming "Trans Kids are Wonderful" design that we're offering as a baby onesie, a kid's shirt, an adult shirt, or a face mask. Perfect for anyone of any gender experience in your life!

Fittingly, 50% of all proceeds will be donated to Gendered Intelligence, an organization that's providing crucial support for trans youth in the UK.
We also added long-sleeved versions of the Gender is Dead design because someone asked us to and we're nice or whatever?? 50% of sales on that design goes to Trans Lifeline.

As always, you can shop our entire merch collection at bit.ly/gendermerch. I'm pretty sure you can still order something in time for Christmas with rush shipping, if that's your jam.
In other podcast news, I'm almost finished booking Season 6 and boy howdy, it's going to be good!!!!! Really excited to roll these episodes out over the next four months. (Fun fact: unless something wild happens, this season will be 2 episodes longer than the rest of our seasons! I will probably regret this later but I'm excited right now.)

Next week on the show, it's one of our famous spicy gender advice episodes with Zee Griffler!!!! I went looking for an old photo of Zee and I together (since we have been friends for A DECADE WOW CAN YOU BELIEVE IT), but I didn't want to give them a dysphoria, so instead here is a photo that they took of me and my dog-sister four or five years ago. I was a cute girl tbqh!!!!!!!
Alright, that's it for this week. Thank you so much for the support, bbs, I love you so much.
Here's your weekly Rhubarb.

xo,
Yr resident gender detective
PS: Thank you to everyone who sent me cute birthday mail! I rly appreciate it :)
