Shadow and Bone ep. 3 UNEDITED REACTION (early access)

OK, I'm cool with that though. They are just moving some pieces to tell a bigger epic story

So the Crows and Nina aren't in the Shadow and Bone Trilogy, they are from the books that come after. The job that you see the Crows doing in this season is a story that has been made up to get them into the show earlier than they are supposed to be because their characters are so loved. What you see with Nina has also been tweaked a little to fit in this storyline but is mostly the same. In the Shadow and Bone books Nina was a child at the Little Palace, not yet a full Grisha. They aged her up to fit her in the story now, same with the Crows.

Sorry if someone already told you, but the blonde woman that hugged Alina first in the Palace is the author of the books, Leigh Bardugo :) And some of the books in the library Alina visits are actual props written fully in the Ravkan language that conlanger David Peterson created.

finally got to watch your reaction! your reaction to the train scene is hilarious especially with regards to the goat i remember watching that for the first time and dying like the conductor really had them grab a support animal for their journey through the fold it's amazing and honestly? i completely get it i'd need something soft and fuzzy to cuddle too if i was on that train lmao. i'm super excited for the episodes 4 & 5 and all their twists and turns! thanks again for reacting to this show i'm so glad you're liking it so far!

My memory is a little rusty concerning the politics of the grisha trilogy, but I'll try to explain some things. So basically grisha are not only Ravkans, they can be from anywhere. The Fjerdans kills theirs (and others) and the Shu experiment on them, trying to find the source of their power. Ketterdam largerly keep them as their servants, gaining profit from their powers. And lastly Ravka is a place where they can train treir powers. West Ravka wants independence and the king obviously doesn't but because of the fold it is difficult for him to extend his rule properly to the west. The Six of Crows in season 1 is sort of a prequel to the book's story I believe, at least it seemed so to me, so a lot of things are new from their storyline, for example the train. I was on the fence on this one (burned on too many YA adaptations) but after seeing ep 1-2 here I jumped into binge watch. Best. Decision. Ever :D Enjoying the show and you guys reactions! Have fun and see ya next Monday :D
