Announcing New Rewards & Templin Institute Campaign Ribbons!

Attention Institute Personnel!

I am very excited to give you a small preview of a new feature to the Institute's Patreon that will be fully revealed tomorrow.

Right now we're just in the middle of sending out the patches of the 1077th Tank Regiment and pins of the Antares Confederacy's emblem. But these are going to be just the first of many more to come. We want to provide more benefits to those of you who have pledged at higher tiers for multiple months and we've been developing a plan to make that happen.

We've started working with some new partners behind the scenes to provide much more frequent physical rewards. You can expect patches featuring the emblems of units from the Antares Confederacy, the Greater Terran Union, or maybe even from our reimagined versions of the First Order or New Republic, every few months. Exactly how frequently will depend on a few factors but right now we're aiming for 4-6 times a year.

But the most exciting new feature are Templin Institute Campaign Ribbons. Beginning in December 2021, whenever the Templin Institute reaches a major milestone, we'll be making available a custom enamel pin recognizing that achievement. These will be found on a private storefront exclusive to our $10+ Patrons. Every Campaign Ribbon will be sold at cost, with our Patrons only paying for store fees and shipping. (Fees are about $3, shipping will depend on where you live. Apologies in advance to Australia and Antarctica.)

For those of you at the $25 tier or above, these pins will be sent out automatically, no need to use the storefront.

Right now we're playing catchup, and our first three pins will commemorate milestones we passed some time ago. Once we're caught up, the milestones will be a bit more relevant. In most cases we'll give you ample warning for when a new Campaign Ribbon will be made available, but in some special cases we might add them to the store and send them out with no announcement at all.
