I made a post in my Facebook support group about my decision to make a Spaghetti & Meat Sauce recipe. I am going to share it here for any of you that may not be a part of the group. And if you aren't a member, consider joining. It's free and it's full of amazing people! Post below:
I went back and forth on whether or not to do this recipe because I thought to myself, “what if they think it’s too basic”. So why did I end up deciding to do it?
I did it because I know that many of you are on a weight loss journey. And how many times in your life has anyone said to you, “Oh you want to lose weight? Be sure to eat spaghetti and meat sauce!”? Probably never. In fact, I’m sure you have heard the opposite. “Want to lose weight? No more spaghetti for you!”. And how sad is a world without spaghetti?
I remember growing up as a kid, always looking forward to spaghetti dinners. There’s just something about it that makes me smile. And I hope that each of you trusts the process enough to know, that you can still eat things like spaghetti, and continue to make progress on your journey.
It breaks my heart knowing that there are people out there, that love spaghetti as much as I do, and avoid it because they are following some over restrictive diet with a long list of “food rules"
If you learn anything from following me, I hope that it’s that there are no “bad” foods. And that everything can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.
