Nutella Baked Oats

*Patreon exclusive content. Please do not share PDF or ingredients*

*EDIT* A member asked if these could be made in the microwave so I tested to try and OMG! They even better this way. Super moist and convenient. I have updated the PDF to reflect the new cooking method. Please be sure to use the new updated PDF.

FINALLY! Baked oats! Now that I know there is an interest, be prepared to see plenty of ideas rolling out. I've already got 2 more lined up and scheduled to post in the coming weeks. So keep an eye out.

Please be sure to read the notes page of the PDF. There is information on there regarding cook times and protein brands.

Nutella Baked Oats

Comments

Made this yesterday and wanted to experiment today. I used my waffle maker instead of microwaving it and I got 3 waffles with the batter. Texture is very good, just different from when you zap it-which is still good

Yay!!

I have never had baked oats before, this was the first one I have tried and I am 100% hooked. Can’t wait to try the other ones!

What should the texture be? I think I cooked a few seconds too long!

Eileen Jeffreys

This was really yummy and filling !! Thank you !!

I made this yesterday and mine came out super eggy tasting. Did anyone else’s or did I just use an egg that was super eggy?

Are these cake/ muffin consistency after baking?

Sure. Just don't use too much liquid.

Zach Coen

I don’t have any Nutella, so I made this with vanilla protein powder and topped it with strawberry jam and fresh fruit and it was really good!

Do you think a protein drink would work out ok with this recipe instead of powder?

You would need to add a little sweetener and maybe another tablespoon of oats.

Can the protein powder be eliminated? I have a couple of samples and don’t plan on buying more. With the current state of the economy I am trying to tighten my budget and protein powder is not a necessity at the moment.

Yes that's all the blended oats is. It's typically just cheaper to blend the oats yourself. But oat is the same thing :)

How exciting!

Rachael

Could I just use oat flour?

Jennifer Ramey

That's hard to say. You're blending them into oat flour so it won't matter much. It really just comes down to preference.

Zach Coen

This is my FAVORITE oat recipe!! Woo hoo!

Cindy

Question: What kind of oats work best for this? I know you can use any type but I'm curious which type gives it the best texture?
