A lot of people have reached out to ask what exactly calories are. What are macros? Do we need to cut carbs?
We have created some infographics to try and explain what all of the terms mean, and how they apply to you.
This first infographic is about energy balance and calories. Calories are simply a unit of energy. Many people mistake a "calorie deficit" as a diet like Keto or Atkins. In reality, a calorie deficit is just a state in which your body is receiving less energy than it needs to maintain your current weight. When you place your body in a deficit, it pulls the extra needed energy from our fat storage, which is simply reserved energy.
Figuring out your body's true calorie deficit can be difficult at first. But once you have that number, adjusting your intake and increasing your daily physical activity can make your fat loss journey very easy to understand and adhere to.
