Visual Serving Size Reference

As we head into the holiday season, it's important to remember that not every day and every meal should be about reaching a specific number on the scale. Most memorable gatherings with family and friends are centered around food. The last thing you want to be thinking about is "how many calories are in this stuffing?".

A good way to stay on track without counting calories is to practice mindful eating by knowing estimated portion sizes. You should be able to look down at your plate and say "okay that is about 1 serving of protein, 2 servings of  carbs, and 2 servings of fats". This picture is a just an estimate but it can be useful in situations where specific measuring is not ideal.

Even if you do not use these references for days like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years, remember......one day of eating and not counting calories will not throw off all of your hard work or deter your progress, unless you let it! Enjoy your time with your family, enjoy some good food, make some life memories, and have fun.

Happy Thanksgiving! Nani and I are extremely thankful for each and every one of you for being a part of our lives as we continue to evolve our business and content to help you on your journey!

Thank you Zach ! …I was just saying to my husband that I wanted to make all our favorites for Thanksgiving and enjoy them but keep our portions in check….the last thing we want to do is eat ourselves to uncomfortableness….this will be a great visual aid when making our plate :)
