PRIMAL EP 4 REACTION

Comment by: MrBulldog714 The man is named Spear and the dino is Fang. That's what they are called in the credits. You will find that the world of Primal is close to, but not our own. Anything can show up

Yea, the reason we kept bringing up the same things is because a lot of the time, we binge a bunch of episodes whenever we're able to record. Same with other shows. We will be more informed in the next one. Also, I understand their names are Spear and Fang. Howeverrrr, having said that.... they will always be Lulu and Carl for me in muh heart! I know, it's a problem but, it's just who I am tho! Lmao

3 things of note: -1) In reference to not knowing what to call the main characters, remember how ep1 is titled "Spear and Fang"? Those are their names. -2) Ep4 is one of my favorite S1 eps, partly bc of Fang (I liked how it's mainly her saving Spear & from her perspective), & partly bc of the raptors (While I much prefer modern-style dinos & the like in media, Primal's retro-style ones work well in this sci-fi/fantasy context; Also, Primal's creature designs are really cool & unique, not just lazy rip-offs of JP/JW's designs). -3) I've commented on this before, but since you guys bring it up at ~8:20: Many Primal reactors seem to think that it takes place in Earth's past. In actuality, it takes place in an alternate world where species & cultures from different times & places coexist. Likewise, Primal's species & cultures ARE based on/analogous to real ones to varying degrees, but still fictional (E.g. Ep1 features 2 fictional dino species, a big red 1 & a smaller green 1, both based on the real dino species T. rex). In this case, Primal's giant bats aren't real as far as we know, but giant bats are a popular trope in Speculative Zoology: http://web.archive.org/web/20121102033543/http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/tetrapod-zoology/2012/11/01/giant-flightless-bats-from-the-future/
