@JiAnn Scarlet Heart Ryeo was my gateway into IU dramas, I still love it so much. I think I've rewatched it like 3 times π After that I looked for everything she and Lee Joon-gi were in. It was also my intro to EXO with Baekhyun haha

I had to try π π€£
Jokes aside, thank you for this wonderful journey with IU: I usually hate the last period of summer, but you are making it so much happier for me β€οΈ

Yeah it had to be a fun challenge for the actor! I think when done sparingly meta stuff can be really interesting and fun, though itβs tough to pull off. I think they did a great job with this one π

Thanks for the suggestion! I think the plan is as the series is ending weβll have a poll to choose the next show, currently on my list is: Goblin, Itaewon Class, and My Mister, but I think we can sneak one or two more options into the poll

I always love the drama-within-a-drama meta. Imagine having to act as an actor who is bad at acting and then act being possessed and changing to be a good actor acting as someone else. It's act-ception and sounds like a really fun yet challenging role! Also lol'd at Chansung ironically saying he'd make a bad actor, haha.

I know you've still got a ways to go on this drama but I wanted to recommend a couple for after you finish this one that you may enjoy!
If you want to continue with the IU dramas, Scarlet Heart Ryeo might be fun - it stars IU and the actor who played manager choice #1 (the exorcist), it's a historical drama with a time travel-y twist to it (similar to Outlander if you've seen that). You seem to enjoy the flashbacks so it may be an interesting watch for you!
The other is The Glory - this one is a Netflix kdrama so it's less trope-y and formulaic. It has pretty dark themes, but it's incredibly well-written with masterful cinematography and acting. Won a lot of awards and the male lead is actually the guy who plays Go Chung-myung (the man in the flashbacks) in Hotel Del Luna.
