Down into the darkness to calm the restless dead in this map set. Follow the candle glow through the city of the dead to arrive at the central camber. Before you, the stone Guardian of the Lost stands watch over the memorials of the dead. What awaits your party in these halls? Swarms of ghosts and zombies? A dark cult? A rift into the lands of the undying?

This piece was another fun one to paint. I always enjoy getting to work a figure into what otherwise is a painting of rocks, rocks, shrubbery, and more rocks. Add in creepy glow effects, and I'm in my happy place.

The base map features a very open battlefield for your party to move around in. The concept is the central chamber of a crypt located far underground, carved from the walls of a natural cavern. Ideally, the party would have gone through a middling dungeon crawl to get here; either via a cave system or a typical tomb in the ole village cemetery that gets more sinister and ornate as the party wanders further inside. Variants in this set include some battlefield enhancements like pillars and sarcophagi to give cover, and also some unique setting and situational changes.

We are officially no longer working off a 2011 iMac that crashes every 5 brush strokes on an incompatible version of photoshop.
