Some info
Added 2025-05-05 19:10:16 +0000 UTCI'm finally home, so I'll keep you up to date on what's been going on in the last month in general.
Basically, I've been preparing for a decade for surgery to correct my bite. It might still sound like no big deal, but it's not plastic surgery, it's a realignment of both jaws in three axes with incisions wherever you can.
It's fun, of course, to be an exotic clinical case with a consilium of 15 doctors looking at you. The operation was five hours, I spent two days in intensive care and three more in a regular room.
The situation is such that now I will sit for two months with broken jaws, which do not close. I can't speak, I eat soft and small food (it's great pleasure to pick something up, because I can't stand blending food). I'm all swollen, in plates and stitches, eating on 700 calories so far and feeling weak (fainting happens, unfortunately), but I'm still doing really well and in a good mood – I mean, it was my dream so far. I don't have my jaws tightly constricted because the healing process is going well. Most people don't, and they lose dozens of pounds.
That's what's mods. There won't be any major releases for a long time, naturally. I'll definitely finish the twins update someday... but for now only small fixes and ehnancements. A couple of them are in process.
As you understand, I also don't have the energy to actively discuss my mods right now, so I'll answer only to the best of my ability. I will only write about the frequent question about SFS alternatives.
SFS has unstable periods, but it is the easiest tool for maintaining mod files. I can't keep them on several resources at the same time, it's too tedious, and only SFS gives so much analytics.
If you're worried that virus attacks are happening because of SFS - don't be. It happens about once a year on Patreon, MTS, and TSR too, because data security depends a lot on the author.
I advise you to put Mod Guard, always check what you unpack into the folder (no exe, bat, py, sh and other suspicious things should not be there!) and pay attention to the date of file update on SFS - another advantage (i.e. compared to the Patreon).
And one more question. I also translate mods for the Russian-speaking audience and post them on another resources. Should I publish them here as well?
Thanks for reading this!
