Bpd does NOT make you a bad person. It is a personality disorder that makes relationships, feelings/emotions, impulses and nuances extremely difficult and it can make people act recklessly and defensive, it can make people act badly but that does NOT excuse the behaviors. And if you get therapy you can live a normal life and have beautiful relationships, and be excellent and loving parents. If she doesn't have her BPD under control though, and it makes her act like that, arguments can be made that she might not be in a good space to take care of her kids. She can't pick and choose when it makes her act badly and when it doesn't.

My PCP and therapist also helps me manage weed w/ my medications. My Dr’s feedback is that he would rather me eat it than smoke it. PS - my sister has 3 boys and smoking definitely makes her a better parent. Hahahaha.
