I used to go to art school with Onya back in the day before she did drag- her sewing skills were utilized a lot in her artwork, kind of similar to her first runway look with all of the beauty store items as well as weaving with looms. It was pretty experimental, but cool stuff! She majored in painting, although the 'painting' major was taken pretty loosely as most students in the major did more sculptural, conceptual work. She truly is an artist, and I can't wait to see more of her drag. (Its always why her mug is BEAT)
