2025-02-08 07:59:12 +0000 UTCI think when it comes to Hormona vs Lexie, i’m on lexies side, and i think AS7 was a verrrrrrry different environment than a regular season so production knew and clearly didn’t care that Trinity brought stones, but this time production stepped in and said no so she was in the wrong. With the Onya thing, those challenges have always (from the viewer perspective) grab what you can from the pile and that’s what you get to work with, so i think once Jewels grabbed it it was hers, and the fact that Onya asked to use it shows she knew it was Jewels stuff lmao

It’s a trim: an embellishment. It’s not like that made up the majority of the materials. But regardless, they all had to pull from the same materials. No materials were necessarily “off limits “to each other. Jewel’s biggest mistake was not raising a stink about it before it happened. Just like Naomi said, if it were me that trim would never have made it on Onya’s garment. But she let her get away with stealing it and then whined about it later. It’s too late now.

But I would say (as far as we have seen) it is against normal werkroom etiquette. It seems most people agree that its a free for all at first, but once the queens have their things at their table it is THEIR'S. So I think it was wrong and rude of Onya to take that trim (especially after she asked if it was okay. if you're going to be sneaky ask for forgiveness not permission.), but it was not against the rules. But it doesn't matter anyway because both of them were safe.

I think Hormona was much more successful with the trumpet/mermaid skirt than Sam. I thought Sam’s fur started too high, and that Hormona’s transition to the trumpet was much more smooth. I also think that given the top 3, Arrietty was best, but again I think they gave the win to Sam because they see Sam going further in the competition and they want to stack up her wins for the top 4. I also think that Onya’s look and presentation were good, but that fight over the trim was what pushed her into the top, cause that’s going to lead to more drama down the road.

Jewels gave a clear answer but Onya could’ve been a bit more communicative about how nervous she was and whether there was any amount of trim Jewels could share. And once Onya took it, Jewels should’ve said something in the moment to try compromise rather than just be pissed and talk about it the next day. Accountability on both sides.

If I shared my stuff with an opponent who I knew had the advantage of sewing experience over me, and that same person didn’t share with me, I would be miffed . And taking the trim did not break any rules of the competition or the challenge, so it is technically fair play. That being said, it would also be fair to characterize what she did as unsportsmanlike and shady.

They’re all are eating from the same bucket of KFC, Jewels took the 2 drumsticks, Onya saw them on her plate and asked if she could have them, jewels said no she’s going to eat them later, and Onya took them off her plate anyway. Does it break the rules? No. Is it selfish and disrespectful towards boundaries? Definitely. That said I don’t think Onya is some big villain for looking out for herself in a competition.
