Lebanon is in immense pain right now, facing yet another chapter in a long history of suffering. The Arab world and Muslims are often portrayed as the aggressors, the ones in need of control. But this narrative is misleading and deeply unfair. The truth is that places like Lebanon and Palestine have been under attack for decades—longer than many of us have been alive. My own uncle fought in the Lebanese Civil War, long before the rise of Hezbollah (1975-1990). *Trigger warning:* During that war, he was captured by Israeli forces and held for over seven years because he held a high position in the military. They wanted information from him, but he refused to give in. He was tortured during this time, kept in a cell no larger than a fridge, unable to stand, only able to crouch. His captors would fill the cell with water up to his ankles and electrify him. Later, in an attempt to break him, Israeli forces invaded my family’s home in Beirut and captured my eldest aunt. They held her for a year in retaliation, trying to force my uncle to speak. *Trigger warning ends.* This kind of violence and brutality has been going on for decades. My people are tired. Palestinians are even more tired. Right now, Lebanon and Beirut are under attack again, and my own family has had to evacuate certain cities. I share this in the hope of educating those who may not be fully aware of the situation. The media often paints a one-sided story, making it seem as though we somehow deserve this. But that is far from the truth. Many only consume media that confirms their biases, and this misinformation is destroying any hope for those of us simply trying to live. Please take the time to seek out what is truly happening in Lebanon and Palestine. Share it with your friends and family. Your voice can reach places mine cannot, and together, we can spread the truth.

It's unfair to assume that someone is also on drugs just because they're in a relationship with an addict. It's like those stereotypes about crack in the 80s and 90s, which did incredible damage to the Black community. Cocaine and alcohol can be just as destructive as crack, acting like it's the substance and not the addiction that's the issue is short-sighted. What relationship level is far enough to not be painted as doing drugs as well? If a child lives with their parents for 15 years and is addicted to meth or something does that mean their parents are too? Families dealing with these issues need understanding instead of people making assumptions about them.

Having a class doesn't prove much when you can analyze and find education in almost anything, even terrible lyrics. It's the process of analysis and discussion that is most important to learning rather than the actual content. Listen, you can like her that is fine. But I'm sick of people acting like she's the greatest thing to walk the earth. At then end of day, she's a billionaire that has exploited wealth and resources to get where she is and no one is that special to deserve that. I would like this delusion that keeps her so popular to end for everyone's sake so yes I will counteract this delusion because it will forever and always be "eat the rich."
