I know the returned underwear discussion is long over but as a former Victoria’s Secret employee, our policy was to sanitize returned & tried on lingerie. If there was bodily fluids on the merchandise THEN we can put them in our “destroy” box for the store manager to deal with. The company gave us sanitizing wipes and told us their method of doing it. Maybe it’s because I’m in Canada but I know a lot of stores that operate like that. My sister and cousin both worked at Winners. Their policy is they don’t accept returns for underwear. But the management team would ALWAYS accept it. They just told the girls to wear gloves while sanitizing the merchandise. They refused each time because they shouldn’t have been accepting the product in the first place 🙄
