I use taffeta fabric as usual for any waterproof garment. The fabric has some transparent property, but this does not show up in usual render (I render in Blender). I think it will be really nice if you crank up the transparency and play with the render setting to show off the transparent effect. But I generally don't mess with transparency in the models that I distributed because the final effect depends heavily on what you use to render it.

In the actual garment, the hood opening is actually folded in, but here you can see me using my usual trick so that I don't have to change the pattern and avoid any folding. Basically, I use "layer clone under" (create lining inside in Style3D), adjust the sewing angle to 0, set the sewing intensity to 0, and offset some internal lines to make it smoother.

My raincoat has snap buttons for the front opening. I don't add any button because it is pointless -nobody can see them from outside, unless for a very close up render. But the button location still has some effect on the drape. I draw the buttons outline, then sew them together. Note that for this design the buttons do not sit exactly at center-front but offset out a bit, so I have to break the symmetrical linked editing.

Finally, I added the drawcord. A common problem that I have is that the cord stopper never aligns properly to the cord if I enable collision. Style3D have a 'multiple snap' option that may solve this problem, but I have not explored it uses, maybe next time.
