I'm white and I wanted black barbie SO FUCKING BAD. My grandma would buy us a barbie for Christmas every year and it was a REAL BARBIE. We always got dollar store dolls but grandma got us REAL barbie. And I asked for a black barbie and I got slapped. Grandma slapped me and called me a "lover" and I was only 6 years old. She's dead now. I never asked for a black doll again. But I bought my first black barbie when I was 22. She had an afro and a pink dress. Every time I go to the barbie aisle nowadays I get teary eyed seeing all the skin tones and hair styles. Everyone always says "It's been like this for yeeaarrsss" but it wasn't like that for us growing up.

Monet, same! It really took until my mid 20s learn about boundaries and how important it is to set them in your relationships (family, friends, work, romantic) with people. And I wish I was taught this at a younger age as well cause a lot of situations would have went differently too.. in a positive way. Just turned 27! and I am still working on breaking the cycle of generational trauma & I'm finding it very tedious 🙄😂

With Ezra. Ezra made a post about it on Instagram. He didn't go into any detail, he just said that people had been DMing him asking, so he wanted to address it in order to move on. This is the first time I've seen Bob mention it. I don't think either of them has any desire to publicly discuss it or dwell on it, and I think that is a healthy decision.
