Totally relate to Jacob looking up movies before watching them. In film school I had a story teacher who believed a great movie still holds even if you know the twists and turns. Parasite is still a great movie to watch over and over, even if you know the midpoint twist. The tension and storytelling are done well enough that each watch can still effectively communicate the tense energy of each scene. However this is just one belief, I totally get people wanting to watch movies knowing nothing going into it.

Physics teacher here - UV rays will most definitely contribute the majority of the energy in solar power - even if solar panels did not need light as high energy. UV light has MUCH more energy than visible light. If a solar panel like a calculators one can be charged by visible light then it can be charged by UV light even more efficiently. Solar panels for houses use UV light though because the energy of visible light is too low to create a high enough current.
