But it's of course fine, for example as an engineer, to craft the next outstanding piece of whatever makes the CEO - having absolutely no clue, how this thing can even work - richer, more popular, and more divine. And people getting exploited by their CEOs are still defending them...

I would argue there has always been business hero worship and if Henry Ford or Rockefeller had twitter and the internet that they would probably do the same. Maybe not, what do I know? I'm just a lazy idiot who works a normal work week and has free time to do whatever.
