Singularity Piecepack Third Edition Earth

Great news! I received a full copy (with all of the tiles) of the Singularity Piecepack Third Edition Earth Set and things are looking good.

The Earth Suits are now available on the Game Crafter (I'm still waiting on the proofs for the Cosmos Suits).

For patrons, go to the discount page for links and discount codes: https://www.patreon.com/posts/game-crafter-68018531

The full Piecepack is made up of the the Tiles & Tokens, the pawns, and the dice. These a purchasable separately to help lower the cost for folks who want to use their own dice and pawns. The pawns can be easily substituted for other alternatives such as Looney Pyramids (except brown) or 3D printed options. The custom dice are relatively expensive and are seldom used for many piecepack games, so in many cases they are not necessary to begin with.

For those interested in printing out their own copy, you can find all of the files in the patron drive: https://www.patreon.com/posts/huge-thanks-link-28259219 ->Singularity Piecepack -> Singularity Piecepack 3

The Multideck Maker layout files and art assets are also available for making your own version of the Piecepack: https://www.singularity.games/multideck-maker

The Tiles & Tokens: The core of the Singularity Piecepack:

Each Ranks of the tiles:

Each rank of the tokens:

The tile fronts and back:

A unique feature of the Singularity Piecepack is that each suit and rank icon can be independently covered up by the tokens.

The pawns:

I don't have much to say about the pawns other than I think they came out great.

The Dice:

While I think the tiles, tokens, and pawns all came out great, the dice I'd give a middling review. They are functional and look decent, but you'll see many of the faces are off-center. The second edition Piecepack dice had their own separate issues. Ultimately, this is just a problem with fully custom print on demand dice.

The dice have always been a bit of a sore spot for me regarding the piecepack, because its unusual ranks of 0, A, 2, 3, 4, & 5 mean that custom dice were a necessity that adds to the cost of picking up a set or increases the complexity of making your own. Furthermore, many games use the dice as little more than a randomizer for first player, if they are even used at all.

This is why within the Game Crafter I list then separately, so that folks can pick them up if they think they will need them, but otherwise can ignore them. If you want a fully standard-piecepack compatible set you'll probably want them. However, if you're using the Singularity Deck ranks of 1-6, you can instead use standard d6 dice.

If there is an interest, I can design 3D-printable piecepack dice, like these: https://www.patreon.com/posts/singularity-dice-79239094 . Let me know if that's something you'd be into.

Everything together:

Also, just a quick reminder you can print an insert for the Singularity Double-deck Box that makes it a great storage solution for the Piecepack. The file can be found in the patron drive: https://www.patreon.com/posts/huge-thanks-link-28259219 -> Singularity Boxes -> Box Inserts -> Piecepack Tray Insert.stl

The last update I received from the Game Crafter said they should mail out the Cosmos set proofs near the end of the month.

Cool. I'll add it to my project list!

Having custom piecepack dice models to go along with these pieces would be nice!
