Hello! This is an original Hypnosis series that will focus on self-care and relaxation for bedtime. This first part is merely an introduction that gives a bit of everything. Still, later parts will dive more specifically into different bad habits, positive affirmation, and establishing a nightly routine that best suits you and your needs!

Introduction / Induction

As you settle into a comfortable position, either lying down or sitting, gently allow your eyes to close. Take a deep breath in through your nose, holding it for just a moment at the top, and then exhale slowly through your mouth, letting go of any tension you may be holding. Take another deep breath, filling your lungs with fresh air, and as you exhale, feel a wave of relaxation flowing down your body, releasing any remaining tightness or discomfort.

With each breath, you can feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. Inhale deeply… and exhale slowly. With every breath, you are sinking deeper into a state of calm and relaxation. Your body becomes more at ease, your mind more peaceful, as you begin to let go of the day and all of its thoughts.

Now, imagine a warm, gentle wave of relaxation beginning at the top of your head. This wave flows down your forehead, softening the muscles of your brow. Let this feeling of comfort spread to your eyes, allowing them to rest deeply, letting go of any strain or tension. As it moves down to your face, feel your jaw relax, releasing any clenching or tightness.

This wave continues down your neck, softening your shoulders, and moving all the way down your arms, relaxing your hands and fingers. Your arms feel heavy and at ease, completely comfortable, and completely relaxed. The wave of calm continues down your back, relaxing each vertebra, soothing your spine, and releasing any tension along the way.

Now, this feeling flows down through your torso, your stomach, and your chest. Your breathing slows naturally, becoming deep and even. You are safe, relaxed, and at peace. With every exhale, you release all the stress and concerns of the day, allowing them to fade away like a distant memory.

The wave continues down to your legs, your knees, your calves, and all the way down to your feet. Each muscle in your body is relaxed and at ease. Your body feels calm, at rest, and perfectly content. You are fully in the present moment, fully relaxed, and deeply comfortable.

With every breath, you go deeper into this relaxed state. The deeper you go, the more relaxed you feel. The more relaxed you feel, the easier it becomes to drift deeper still. And as you continue to relax, you find it easier to focus, easier to let go of any distractions, and easier to allow yourself to rest fully and deeply.

Deepening the Trance

Now, I want you to imagine that you are standing at the top of a staircase, and with each step you take, you feel yourself becoming even more deeply relaxed. In a moment, we will begin to walk down these steps, and as you do, you will feel your body and mind becoming even more relaxed, calm, and peaceful. I will count down from ten to one, and with each number, you will take one step deeper into relaxation.

10… Take the first step, feeling a wave of relaxation wash over you.

9… With each step, you feel more at ease, more peaceful, as you gently drift down.

8… You are feeling calm and completely comfortable, more relaxed with each step you take.

7… Your mind is quiet and clear, focused only on your comfort and relaxation.

6… The further you go, the more deeply relaxed you become. Everything else fades away.

5… You are halfway down the staircase now, feeling deeply at peace, calm, and serene.

4… Each step is easy, effortless, taking you deeper into relaxation.

3… Let go of any remaining tension, as you step deeper into calm.

2… Almost at the bottom now, feeling more relaxed than ever before.

1… You have arrived. You are at the very bottom of the staircase, deeply relaxed, at peace, and completely calm. You feel safe, secure, and ready to make positive changes in your life.

Suggesting Positive Change

Now that you are deeply relaxed, your mind is open and receptive to positive suggestions. Tonight, and every night moving forward, you will create a healthy, rejuvenating, and peaceful bedtime routine. This routine will help you wind down from the day, release any stress, and prepare yourself for a restful, restorative sleep.

Each night, as the evening draws near, you will naturally begin to feel calm and relaxed. Your mind will start to slow down, and your body will follow. You will start to feel a deep sense of comfort and ease as you begin your nightly routine.

You will find yourself looking forward to the time when you begin preparing for bed, knowing that this is a time for you to rest, recharge, and feel rejuvenated. Every step of your nightly routine will be an opportunity for you to unwind and nurture yourself. The more you follow this routine, the more natural and effortless it will become, and the more you will look forward to it each night.

As you start preparing for bed, you will naturally slow down, feeling a sense of tranquility begin to wash over you. You will notice that the more you ease into this routine, the more peaceful and calm you become, ready to sleep soundly and deeply through the night.

Establishing Your Nightly Routine

Each night, when you begin your routine, you will start by turning off all devices and disconnecting from anything that may keep your mind active. You will take a moment to step away from any distractions and enter a space of quiet calm. As you do this, you will begin to feel your body relax even further, knowing that the transition to sleep has begun.

Next, you will create a peaceful atmosphere in your bedroom. You may dim the lights, adjust the temperature, and make the environment comfortable in a way that feels best for you. You may choose to light a calming candle, burn soothing essential oils, or play soft, peaceful music if that helps you unwind.

As you prepare to wash your face, brush your teeth, or do any other small, calming rituals, you will notice that these actions are no longer tasks. They are nurturing acts of self-care, reminding you that you are deserving of rest and relaxation. These simple actions will help you signal to your body that it is time to wind down and prepare for sleep.

Next, you will focus on deep, soothing breaths. As you lie in bed, you will inhale deeply, filling your lungs with fresh air, and exhale slowly, letting go of any remaining tension. You will feel your body sinking into the mattress, your muscles releasing any last bits of tightness or strain.

As you continue to breathe deeply, you will allow your mind to focus on relaxing visualizations. Imagine yourself in a place of complete serenity, whether it’s a peaceful beach, a quiet forest, or a soft, glowing meadow. Visualize yourself there, feeling completely relaxed, safe, and at peace. With each breath, you sink deeper into this peaceful place.

If you prefer, you can also practice progressive relaxation. Start at your toes and slowly work your way up through your body, consciously relaxing each part of you. Your toes relax. Your feet relax. Your ankles, calves, and thighs relax. Your hips, stomach, chest, arms, and shoulders relax. Your neck, face, and head relax. Every part of you feels peaceful, light, and completely at ease.

Positive Affirmations for Sleep

Before drifting into sleep, you will affirm to yourself:

As these affirmations sink into your subconscious, you will begin to notice that your nightly routine becomes something you deeply look forward to. It is no longer a chore, but a time of healing, rejuvenation, and self-care. You will know that every step you take brings you closer to a night of deep, uninterrupted sleep.

Deep Sleep

Now, as you continue to relax, you will notice that sleep begins to come naturally to you. Your mind is clear and calm. Your body is peaceful and at ease. You will feel the urge to drift off, knowing that you are safe, supported, and ready to rest deeply.

You will begin to notice that with each passing night, it becomes easier to fall asleep, and your sleep becomes deeper and more restorative. You will wake up each morning feeling refreshed, energized, and ready to embrace the day ahead.

And now, as you continue to relax, your body and mind are slipping into the most peaceful, rejuvenating sleep. The more you allow yourself to relax and trust the process, the more deeply you will sleep, and the more refreshed you will feel in the morning.

Awakening

When you awaken in the morning, you will feel refreshed, energized, and ready for a new day. You will feel deeply grateful for the rest and rejuvenation you received. You will carry the calm and peace from your restful sleep into your day, knowing that every night, you can easily return to this deep, restful state.
