Headcanon Speedpaint WIP- Flat Racing

This is a sneak peek of one of the speedpaintings I'm planning on doing for another "series" of sorts; paintings that explore the culture of Equestria and the world the ponies live in. These will act more as coloring practice as well as worldbuilding than anything else, but yeah.

This one, as you can probably tell, is about one of the many Racing scenes in Equestria. The citizens of Equestria DO have domesticated animals as beasts of burden (to replace the horse's place as one of the biggest source of beasts of burden), but I also like to think some horse-based sports from our world remain relatively the same, just with the lack of humans riding the ponies. Here we have the sport Flat Racing, where the contestants can be of any breed or gender and the main goal is to beat your opponents to the finish line as fast as possible. It's an intense and popular sport where speed, endurance, and determination is tested, and yes, betting is still very much a part of the sport.

There will be more headcanon on this once I finish it as well as do some research on it. Also, since I've been accepted into Bronycon, do expect more thumbnails for prints in the future! ^.^
