A brisk 40 minutes later and I was unsure what I was meant to have got from this other than that it was funny and contains a great physical performance. But I think it’s brilliance lies in the fact that I kept asking myself how scene after scene was achieved in a film nearly 100 years old. The ingenuity of Buster makes this worthy of its place in the 250.
