I agree it totally recontextualizes the scenes he's in. True! Still getting back into the lore but seeing that repentant Sauron at play though the Halbrand form, identity, etc adds so many layers to the show and how rich of a character Sauron actually is. I remember really noticing his "what do you know of darkness?" as he stares into the flames in the Numenor forge. Plus that's when he references the wrongs of his past while also telling Galadriel he was sorry about her brothers death.

I cant stress how much better the earlier episodes are after you know Halbrand is Sauron. In the lore, Sauron did genuinely want to repent and begged Eru (God) for forgiveness but was told he must go to them in Valanor to fully repent and where do we find Halbrand... on the sea between Numenor and Valanor 🤣 I knew from when they were in the cells in Numenor. He says something along the lines of H- Find what your enemy fears the most G- and exploit it H- No, give them a means of mastering it.. so you can master them. Sounds an AWFUL lot like what he does with the rings 🤣🤣. I hate to say this but Shadow of War is entirely made up for the game in regards to how Celebrimbor really was. Same as Galadriel here, he was blinded by ambition and was so busy congratulating himself he didnt realise he was being manipulated to create the rings. I know the Numenor episodes were slow but they've set up so much for the future there that i cant speak on that i was fine with the slower middle. I wish they'd released the episodes in chunks 1-3, 4-6 & 7-8 so things didnt feel as dragged out but im sure they'll take on board the critisims. Its only gunna get madder from here, they've confirmed a few characters for season 2 already that im super excited about. SAURON LIVES... BECAUSE OF YOU!

There were 3 rings for the elves, the dwarves got 7 and men got 9. These were for each race to rule/govern themselves. And in secret, in mount doom,Sauron creates the one ring which rules over them all. Galadriel clearly won't tell anyone that Halbrand is Sauron, so he'll have a hand in influencing the creation of the rest of the rings like he did with these 3, before he creates the final one. The 9 men who get the rings become Nazgul/Ringwraiths who are the ones that hunt Frodo and the others in the movie. Worth re-watching the movies to catch all the little callbacks.

Jei tell me you saw that this episode said we're gonna do Reylo but in the LOTR universe. That Halbrand/Sauron confession and then their join me scene. Madness.

The 9 kings of men get corrupted by their rings. They become The Nine or The Nazgul. Ring Wraiths. Sauron's top goons. From man to ghostly forms.

Sauron is a Sith Lord that got lost in another universe, there's no other explanation.
