2024-08-27 17:18:50 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if you realised but the OST changed in this episode. Are you watching Kai in the same place? The original Kai soundtrack was made with Kenji Yamamoto, but this was replaced later on with the old-school Japanese DBZ soundtrack from the 80's 90's which sounds really dated. They literally re-use the same songs over and over again. I'd highly recommend watching the Kenji Yamamoto version (Which is what you've been watching so far)

Dragonball aired as a weekly anime, so they couldn't make every episode movie-quality due to time constraints. They saved the best of the best for the more important fights

The art style and quality of each episode is directly related to the skill of the supervisor and the amount of time they had to do it, so if you see really good art and animation, that usually just means they had ample time to work on the episode. and a good supervisor.
