"Crazy Train" (Ozzy Osbourne) Solo Transcription & Lesson/Analysis
Added 2024-08-30 18:14:15 +0000 UTCIt's one of my missions as part of the Guitar School to accurately transcribe all famous and highly requested Metal guitar solos, so that you guys have peace of mind when learning them and don't have to deal with dubious online tabs.
Next on the list is one of the most iconic solos all time time - "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne!
People often dismiss this solo as something for beginners, but if you dig a bit deeper and really try to get all of the details right it's actually quite a challenge.
This is for sure a solo that should be in every guitarist's repertoire!

Man! I just got Guitar Pro 8 and had no idea you can load backing tracks into the tabs! Damn, they make your solo lessons even better now that I can play along with your backing tracks as well! I'm gonna have fun with this!

2024-09-09 14:40:50 +0000 UTCI love this solo, I saw you got a lot of comments about Randy doing his famous "bend the neck trick" I can only assume they got this idea from the live footage of him playing the song with his LP custom however, It does not show him play that lick. Hardcore RR enthusiasts (like myself) know that it is well documented that Max Norman, the producer of Blizzard of OZ, has pictures of Randy using the Carl Sandoval (W/ a Vibrato bar) and stated " He used it on pretty much all the guitar tracks" Makes sense since he just got it in 78'' anyway... luv your work, I am humbled to be your student.
