Comments

Alex= Eddie, hypochondriac

ethanofdarkness999

Emotional moment -Alex “are your watches waterproof?” lol

ethanofdarkness999

Yeah you were right the guy in the store were Bill bought his old bike was actully Stephen King. love your videos man, keep on doing it. All love to you.

Filip Glifberg

You’re exactly right in guessing that store clerk was Stephen King

Amanda Caroline

Hearing him complain about the water for 10 minutes at the end is hilarious, he has said things that have made me feel more dirty than that water does😂😂😂

Hayden Smith

Eddie's wife is the same actress that played his mum in chapter one

Craig Morrice

holy shit, did y'all notice this?? when mike is looking at the newspaper story about his parents early in the movie, the headline says it was two local crackheads that were killed. at the end when he's on the phone with bill he says "i've spent all this time seeing what it wants me to see" and it shows the headline again, but this time it just says locals instead of crackheads. cool detail:)

buggy

Fun fact, the book has an underage gangbang….i was not expecting that…..

Bryan howell

Hey Alex not sure if you knew it or not but I remember in your Reacher reaction you saying that you used to watch Blue Mountain State before, the insane asylum employee that put bowers in his room was Donnie the Center on the football team from BMS

Taylor Edwards

The original was amazing, This is the worst remake of any horror movie I have ever seen. Please watch the original. Tim Curry is the one and only Pennywise!

Corie

As someone who read the book in middle school after the original mini series came out I echo your parents. I was also a New Kids On The Block fan so I dig all the NKOTB references!

Carrie Schwent

2:11:00 is this funniest shit Alex has ever said LMAO

Abdullah Al Hraishawi

All of that is true. No kid orgy (thank god) and yes to giant turtle mortal enemy of IT... But you have to read 1,100 pages to get through it all. Not a simple read for sure.

Wesley A Klein

The kid that plays young bill he did a movie on Netflix called “Metal lords” it’s about 2 friends making a metal band dope movie I know you’ll love he plays the drums in the movie

Jonathan centeno

right?! i’m a HUGE fan of how he pitched the first season as a comedy but when it gained traction he went through with it in his own vision

Nav

Was just about to comment this! Bill is fucking insane in that show (both in terms of the character he plays and his acting).

Entorri

If you love Bill Hader, you really need to check out Barry. He is phenomenal in that show.

Nav

A demon who kills kids and is capable of making u see whatever they please is killed by insults

Kalen Shoemaker

shhh no one tell alex the are making a third oneoops secrets out hehe

Mr.Baron von waggy pants

I haven't read IT myself, but it has a strong rep among his books.

Monk Without a Cause

old it here we come

jamie minnell

OMG!! This movie was not scarier than the first one.. But Eddie is my favorite!! [Hands Down] ♥️🔥🤗

Derrick Belone

Cat's Eye had the biggest impression on me. To this day, I think about the little creature. It was the first King story I read by myself. I was young and it's a short story... I was proud. Eventually I moved to Anne Rice and fell in love with her world of witches and vampires. When I had the chance to move to Louisiana, I absolutely took it because of her.

Veronica Lenée

Dude, I can't believe you missed that Richie was in love with Eddie the whole time! Carved their initials into that fence as a kid, then revisited as an adult. I always liked that.

Miss Molly

Pet Sematary (yes it’s actually spelled this way) is one of my favorites. Both of the original two movies were great and definitely helped kick off my love of the Horror genre as a kid. The remake isn’t as good imo but it’s actually decent overall.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

I agree, the adult part of the story in the original made for TV movie was a little lacking imo. The acting and cinematography of the remake are vastly superior but there is something special about the original movie that I do love.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

I’m pretty sure that most of his popular works were written while he was still using. He’s even stated that he had a lot of creativity while staying up for days while on coke benders chain smoking cigarettes. That being said he definitely needed to quit for his health. There are a lot of writers who claim that nicotine and other stimulants are very effective at enhancing their creativity but obviously it comes at a huge price.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

Uhmm, so I still (to this day as an adult) have a recurring nightmare that I’m stuck in a high school building and Pennywise 🎈is chasing me, it never stops! I’m am TERRIFIED of him! I’m scared to start this movie, I keep playing it to 10 secs and exit the reaction.. LOL 😆🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

Derrick Belone

Ok lol

Too Original

No its not. The adult story is always shittier but the miniseries was no where near as good as the movies.

jamie jones

So if I recall correctly the theory behind the ending is that IT feeds on fear, that’s why he preys on mainly children because most adults don’t believe in him or fear monsters. Since IT gets his power from fear in order to beat him The Losers conquer their fear of IT and make him small. So yes technically the way to kill IT is to bully him. This is also why IT recruits Henry Bowers to help kill The Losers. This is also why Stan killed himself in order to help the Losers defeat IT. He knew that his fear would only feed IT and make defeating him impossible. His self sacrifice was for his friends in order to kill IT once and for all.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

I forgot how much this movie relied on CGI(bad CGI at that) and jump scares. The Original it is so much better.

Too Original

Has to watch Unbreakable before Split

Too Original

The only thing that I'm not sure that you caught at the very end with Stanley's letter. He wasn't killing himself because he was scared. He killed himself to be phil colson in the avengers... He was the thing to be avenged, and he knew that if he was there, his fear would make it stronger so he did the one thing that would make it weaker, gave them something to avenge, something to bring them together, a sacrifice. As described by the ritual that Mike had them doing. There are multiple meanings from it. At first it seems like cowardice, but in this instance it was his awareness of his self and the intelligence to see what needed to be done in order for the group to succeed. At least that's how I interpreted it

Michael Shelton

After your recognition of james mcavoy, as young professor x I feel like you should watch Unbreakable and then Split and then Glass... That whole series is awesome

Michael Shelton

He mentioned it, so now he's got to watch it. I think that's a solid rule. :)

Jordan Tanner

This movie is waste of time i said it. Noone listened

Abuzz Klanica

The original is so much better than this

BrianHobbit7

That was so good really enjoyed that man, glad i joined patreon so i can see what doesnt get shown on youtube. nice chilled sunday on my pc watching you react to IT chapter 2, cant wait for the next one!!

Jonesy

An absolute yes to "Barry"!! Mayhaps once we're done with Reacher 😌

El

YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WATCH GHOST RIDER

rodrigo.

You should really watch the show “Barry” I also noticed you said you like bill hader and hes the main character there, its a great show and i think youd enjoy it

Natriix

There's actually going to be a IT prequel series called, IT: Welcome to Darry, its going take place in the early 1960's. It will release in 2025 on MAX.

SpringTrapLord

Eddie yells "Beep beep, mother fucker" and earlier Beverly said "Beep beep, Richie" after he said a stupid joke. That's one thing that was very common in the book, when they were kids, Richie would say something stupid and they would say that. I don't know why they didn't include that in chapter one

Pistols O'Brien

He famously quit in the 80's but since it was published in 86 I'm not sure if he was on coke for it or not. I'd be interested to know when exactly the intervention happened because I like his older stuff the best.

Melody Netherton

I LOVE Pennywise. My 2nd set of Halloween nails are IT themed this year (first set was Wednesday). My mom raised me on Stephen King novels. If King makes a cameo, he definitely approves of how it turned out. It's more difficult to tell if he approved of the older adaptations but my favorites are Christine, Pet Sematary, Cat's Eye, Carrie, Thinner & Needful Things.

Veronica Lenée

It's time for you to watch split Alex

Ana

😂

Cory

Ok I haven’t read that in a few years, but I remember it being quite different. They took out the ORGY SCENE and I thought it ending with THE TURTLE?

Vic Nadata

Sad part is since the "men" who did it were all between 15-17, they served less then 2 years in a youth center.

Mårten

I love how even though your not gay or female both abuse scenes anger you so much and how much sympathy you have for them. Not everyone can sympathize that much with people who aren't like them and it's so nice to see. The jokes and all are great but it's your character at moments like that that make you my favorite reactor.

Melody Netherton

First time I’ve rewatched this since seeing it in theaters… man it is freaky! I don’t think these are bad movies, but you’re right that they rely heavily on jump scares. I definitely enjoyed the humor because I needed that levity, as I am a big weenie when it comes to horror 😅 That being said, I much prefer the 1990 miniseries version of IT. Have you ever seen that one? Saw it when I was WAYYY too young and have been terrified of clowns ever since 🙈

Elizabeth D

That's just awful! At least in the book, he wrote that the gay bashers went to jail for what they did... I think. It's been a LONG time since I've read IT

Stone27

As a big Stephen King fan, the movies are very different, but they NAIL the themes. I honestly think the movies are better, even though the book is great. Also, the whole joke in the movie about the writer's book having a terrible ending is poking fun at the fact that Stephen King has had some... Special endings lol. The ending of It the book is regarded as one of the worst endings

Pistols O'Brien

First and foremost, Stephen King isn't dead. Somehow. Definitely should be after all the shit he's snorted over the years. But he's actually in this movie. You got it right. First time for everything I suppose. Also the "I hated the ending" thing is because Stephen King famously writes absolute dog shit endings. To be fair the same woman who played Eddie's mother in chapter 1 played his wife in chapter 2, so yeah that's exactly the point they're trying to make The child actor that played Richie actually asked for Bill Hader to play him in the second film, and Bill Hader has said that he was honored to do so because he was already a fan of the kid's work. Meanwhile the actor playing Ben in this one had to submit childhood photos of himself to even be considered because no one thought that the actors resembled each other and it would be totally unbelievable. Hilariously he looked almost identical to the original kid. I don't remember if it's some or all of the things that popped out of the fortune cookies, but they're things that It turns into in the books that didn't get used for the first movie. Honestly, I'm still shocked they left the ritual in the movies at all because the shit in the books is so unacceptable that I don't know how it even got published. The losers know It's been around for millions of years because of the cosmic interdimentional space turtle that's also It's brother who got cut from the films. I assume the reasons for that choice are obvious. They do make a bunch of callbacks to turtles in chapter 1 though, so that was cute.

Jessie

I really enjoy both movies. And I can’t wait for the prequel series next year.

Matthew

Go to church tomorrow to cleanse your soul, lol….. actually not kidding

Diana

The original book was about 1100 pages and yes Stephen King was a great writer but his mind is a coked up mess.

Ryan “Rineran” Fox

Just finished watching your reaction yes that was Stephen King in the shop mini cameo yes he also wrote The Shining if you remember the quote in Ready Player One the maker who hated his own creation reference to the movie Stephen King hated the movie when it came out compared to hit book.

Farmer Jayy

Fun fact: the actress who played Eddie's wife is the same as the woman who played his mom in the first one. Literally taking on, the 'we marry our parents' message.

Chloe B. Nest

It's fascinating watching Alex's brain at work sometimes. They are all sitting in the water hugging and crying after killing a demon. And where does Alex thoughts go to. " I don't think that watch can stand water".

Mårten

Yes, that was Stephen King in that shop scene.

IGOR PODEMSKI

You've never seen Indiana Jones! I was more Horrified by that, than the horror in IT2!

carrot

Alex, don't know if u watched this series but watch lucifer cause the whole series matches your humor and stuff

Brian

And about the running joke of Bill's movies having bad endings... It's an inside joke about 80% of Stephen King's bibliography having totally shit endings. Even if it was a good book... it had a shit ending.

IGOR PODEMSKI

Btw for ur question abt the book it isn’t drastically different just not even close to as much content! The book is between 1100-1300 pages depending on the copy but the movies either trim scenes or just completely take them out! The book is way better than all 3 movies but I still do enjoy the movies just not nearly as good as that fat ass novel (like with enough force u could kill someone🤷‍♂️) Edit: if u think the ending is weird the books ending would absolutely shake u to ur core with how odd it is… and weird💀

Miles Barsness

My parents love the book and the changes that were made for this adaptation they said were good changes and necessary. They really liked the 2 movies.

Breezybaby

If you love Bill Hader YOU HAVE TO watch the HBO series Barry. It's one of the funniest pieces of television honestly ever. And how the show mixes the comedy with a lot of drama is honestly one of the most creative things i've ever seen a tv show do. Who else would want Alex to react to it???? WHO'S WITH ME?

IGOR PODEMSKI

In the word fucked up i meant druged way too many times.

IGOR PODEMSKI

Other than the kid orgy in the middle of the book... yeah the book is better. And don't ask me about the orgy thing... Stephen was way too fucked up in the 80's to write normal stuff.

IGOR PODEMSKI

The book is damn long and its structure or stroy telling is a lot different and the backstory of it is better written

Jiri Neumann

It’s a scary but a good one Alex, I’m so pumped to watch this!

Emmalp_xo

Ik😭 I’ve read the book 7 times in my life (parents gave it to me in 5th grade and my dad had read it before💀) seen all 3 movies multiple times, and this is the only reason I’m ok watching this is cause Ik it so well and no what’s going to happen! I would NEVER watch a horror movie I hadn’t seen before high under any circumstances

Miles Barsness

The gay bashing murder in the beginning of the movie is based on an actual event that happens in Stephen Kings hometown in 1984. A 23 year old asthmatic gay man was beaten and thrown into a stream where he drowned.

Mårten

It's really not scary. Way more comedic. You'll be fine

Ana

Omg yaaaaaaay

Ana

Oh not a good idea at all.. Do it!

dooba dooba

Can’t wait to see him react to the Boogeyman 2023 and the Terrifier (franchise)

chris fumo

Chapter 1 is much better imo

Charlie Fontana

He needs some wholesome Halloween things to react to. Edit. Like over the garden wall

Agus Mercado

I wanna watch this so bad but I’m kinda stoned so idk if this is a good idea😭 but fuck it let’s get it!
