Clone Wars 516 - "The Lawless" (FULL EPISODE REACTION)

Comments

You chose the single worst person in the entire galaxy to want the best for. Not because he's a bad person but because he ends up having maybe 10 collective moments of pure happiness in his life. There's a reason he looks that old when ep. 4 rolls around and Ben shows up. Poor bitch was 57 when he died.

Jessie

Alex. If you want to know why can be only two of them, read book called "Darth Bane - rule of the two".

Metal Machine

that's right and he was growing in power and it had to be stopped because if palpatine didn't stop him maul would've destroyed palpatines plan. mauls weakness was his brother. his rage made him unbalanced in their final 1v1 and that's why he was defeated by palpatine because palpatine killed his kin. but when kenobi's ex girlfriend was killed it made kenobi feel sad but kenobi was right about one thing. "only the weak embrace the dark side" ~ Obi Wan Kenobi but almost all of us know palpatine ain't weak and he's the exception.

GlizzyPrinceChristian

Is it the one i think it is? Cuz that’s also my favourite episode in the show.

Chad Higgins

Sidous doesn’t usually do the dirty work. However with mauls power growing, he had to take matters into his own hands. He was becoming too much of a threat to palpatines plans.

Connor Ross

to answer your question alex! The Rule of Two which means that there can only be one master and one apprentice at a time which was started after the sith went almost extinct because they started killing one another glory and power and so Darth Bane who was the sith lord who is wildly known for starting the Rule Of Two and he made so that it was a secrecy thing and a survival thing so that when the sith do rise from the grave and defeat the jedi it'll be by the master and apprentice and not an entire army as you saw in the star wars the old republic cinematics trailers. So Darth Maul was in violation of the Rule of Two and had to be taught a lesson so that's why Palpatine killed Savage and tortured Maul, because he became a nucense and was testing his patience and as a sith palpatine knows maul is a loose cannon and can expose palpatine as the sith lord if needed. so he turned maul into his little bitch and is now going do his bidding.

GlizzyPrinceChristian

bro relax not everyone knows every single backstory of the star wars franchise, I have watched clone wars and there are still confusing parts

Aidan

I only said it so he has some motivation to go watch it. I ain’t spoiling anything I’m just saying something about it is there. Furthermore, yall actually were spoiling the stuff with echo when Alex was watching the citedel arc. Maybe not you guys specifically but I can remember like 10+ people in the comments saying what actually happened

Michael

i swear alex does not pay attention

canonscott

IF Season 7 never happened.... THIS WOULD'VE BEEN MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF THE SHOW. But we have season 7 so.... But you have to wait and see it for yourself.

IGOR PODEMSKI

All those kids are from an earlier episode with ahsoka on mandalore Also stop about Anakin, in canon Maul and Grievous never meet Anakin (until ep3 for Grievous) ALSO ALSO, obi wan has the saddest life by far in Star Wars. He lost his master, his loved one, his order, his best friend is fking evil… do I need to continue Edit: now that I think about it maul and Anakin did meet, very briefly in episode I

Charlie Fontana

The sith philosophy "The rule of two". There can only be two sith. One to enbody the power, and one to crave it. One master and one apprentice. The reason for this is because back in the old republic times sith were fighting for power in their own ranks, while the jedi were united. The sith had to change, so Darth Bane killed all the sith and started the rule of two for the sith to grow stronger til they could take over the galaxy, which Palpatine eventually did.

MrPeran

Darth Sidious entrance was amazing!

Joovain

If you think this was the best arc so far, then you are not ready for the ACTUAL best arc of the show. I won't spoil anything. But you aren't ready!

Lucas C.

Ian Abercrombie played Palpatine from S1 to 5 because he died during production of S5 at the age of 77. In S6 he is replaced by Tim Curry, the guy who stole Kevin's dads credit card in Home Alone 2.

Cole Romero

Regarding the rule of two: Sith philosophy is focused around gathering power and influence as an individual. Back when there were a lot of Sith,  infights and struggles for power were very common. It wasn’t a problem under the rule of powerful leaders like King Adas, Marka Ragnos or Sith Emperor Vitiate for the harsh environment created the strongest sith to ever exist (Malgus, Tulak Hord, Revan etc.). However, within time the lack of such a leaders and constant conflicts weakened the sith order and led them to ruin. Darth Bane, the inventor of the rule of two (following the teachings of another sith – Darth Revan) killed every other sith (nuked them) and went into hiding. The general idea was that by acting within shadows, they can gather power unbothered. The master teaches the apprentice until the learner is more powerful and is able to kill him. Through numerous iterations, the sith would presumably become more and more powerful and finally be able to take over the galaxy.

💯😁👍

hey alex, please make sure to rewatch the prequel movies (at least episode 3) before the final 4 episodes of season 7. i think you can only benefit from it and will make the experience of the final so much better than it already is! also there are a lot of smaller characters in the clone wars show who actually apeard in the movies before but you didn’t recognized them back then. (at least watch it in private)

Noah Enigma

"I want to see Vader vs Maul!" So is the rest of us brother, can't wait to see if they actually do it...

NovelDefender

Nothing is spoiled, the arc is called Siege of Mandalore so I don't think this counts when the title already gives it away.

NovelDefender

Bro please delete this shit for the love of fucking god. Don’t you people have more than 3 brain cells? Does it take that much intellect to realize you are spoiling shit?

Alex Georgiadis

Why do people feel the need to mention what future arcs will include and spoil shit? Like can’t y’all just not say anything?

Alex Georgiadis

The reason why there can be only 2 sith is because a thousand years ago when there was a sith empire with tons of sith they were constantly fighting with each other for power and to get to rule over all of them, this nearly resulted in their extinction but one surviving sith Darth Bane invented the rule of two which states that in every chronological time period there should always be one master and one apprentice thus to avoid what happened to the sith empire and the sith line of succession involves the apprentice killing the master and taking his place and finding a new apprentice just like darth bane’s apprentice Darth Zannah did.

Alex Georgiadis

Ian Abercrombie voiced Palpatine on the Clone Wars from 2008-2012, for seasons 1-4 and most of season 5. He did an amazing job. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2012 when voice recording for season 5 was mostly finished, so this episode is dedicated to him. If you listen closely, you can actually notice that a few of Palpatine's lines in this arc are spoken by Tim Curry, who replaced Abercrombie as voice actor for Palpatine, because they didn't quite finish all the voice acting work for season 5 when he passed. Curry's Palpatine sounds quite different. Abercrombie does actually voice him again in a season 6 arc, though that's because that arc was originally meant to be part of season 5, coming before this one, but it was pushed back to season 6 as a last-minute change.

Victor

Ian Abercrombie was the first voice actor for Palpatine in this show

Christian Di Persio

I have been WAITING for this reaction.

Kensi Barlow

you can react to the son of dathomir on YouTube and its voiced over its the continuation of the story with maul and Sidious i recommend reacting to it

Jacob Johnson

omg the next arc, the end of season 5 and one of my favourites, as usual i will cry with the last épisode. and for a very long time it was the last épisode of clone Wars. until season 6 came back 2 years later and season seven, 6 years later. crazy

Joao

SHHHHHHHH

Kensi Barlow

Sorry for another comment but there can only be two with because of the rule of two set by Darth bane

Miles Barsness

Why does this comment exist...

Culper (Lukas)

For your question on the rule of two: the reason for that existing is because with are so filled with hatred that any more than a master and apprentice and there will be constant infighting and death among them. However, the line of succession for master and apprentices usually starts and ends with the apprentice killing the master, becoming master, and then finding a new apprentice, rinse and repeat. This is also why darth maul was replaced, because everyone including palpatine assumed he was truly dead, so instead he obtained a new apprentice to fill his role, which is count dooku

Michael

You be forgetting a lot of simple things lol. He's been replaced with Count Dooku, who will eventually be replaced with Anakin. Hence 514's amazing line where he says "THAT SITH PRETENDER DOOKU".

Ahsoka Tano

Don't worry the arc isn't over, it concludes in season 7 with the last episodes. It's easily just as good or imo even better. The first half of season 7 is weak but the second half is PEAK Star Wars

ryanrb

Dawg don’t spoil, delete this

Slaya806

Michael

There was supposed to be another arc with Maul but unfortunately we're at the time where Disney bought Star Wars and cancelled Clone Wars, so we never got the next Maul arc. Instead they made it a comic called Son of Dathomir. I suggest you read it after you finished season 5 or 6

DavePlayz89

The rule of 2 for the sith was implemented by Darth Bane thousands of years ago. Back in the old republic (thousands of years before the current timeline) there were thousands of sith just like there are Jedi. But the sith ALWAYS lose because of all the infighting. So darth bane killed a majority of the sith and implemented the Rule of Two. So the master has an apprentice, and when the apprentice is ready they kill the master and then take on a new apprentice. It helps the 2 become very strong and they can stay in the shadows and grow their power undetected. A way a lot of sith get around it is they have “assassins” like ventless who technically is NOT a sith. But they have the red lightsaber and force powers. Just a little loophole some exploit. Just a quick little summary haha

Daniel Fernandez

Man I love this episode so much. You finally get too see why sidious is the most powerful being ever. He moves like the wind like you can’t touch him in this.

Zombieki11er451

Best episode of the show (besides last few)

JDL

Alex the only time Darth Vader and Darth maul fight is in a comic and even then it’s only a weird creature who Palpatine did something with to make it maul to see if Darth Vader was a worthy apprentice, I read it a long time ago but yeah there definitely no on screen moments of maul and Vader fighting even tho that would be badass

Miles Barsness

“You can kill me, but you will never destroy me. It takes strength to resist the dark side. Only the WEAK embrace it!!” -one of the most badass lines in Star Wars and completely sums up Obiwan as a character.

BeePrimeGaming

Best episode of the show imo the sidious duel was by far my favorite clone wars duel! Plus satines death being really sad and a bad ass fight with Bo Katan and obi wan and just an overall banger episode and my personal favorite
