So - what remains to be done?
Added 2022-03-13 22:28:43 +0000 UTCWhile we have climbing pretty much solved, we still have to add climbable ivy prefabs to various structures around town. This was something I wanted to take care of this past week, but was delayed temporarily by a collider issue that has since been addressed. I plan on tackling that again on Monday. You won’t have access to 100% of the world’s structures yet, but you’ll be able to get a new view of the island from a few locations.

As I might have mentioned in the previous update, we very well might be able to include a few instances of “fence walking” - check out a video, here! Our animator provided the last animations we required, today. I have a feeling the new guy will have this stuff ready to go by mid-week - meaning there’s a good chance we might be able to include a bit of that, as well (No promises of a Railcat, though!)

It might be a bit late in the game, but after almost two years of trying to replicate the chaotic, rocky coasts of Maine using the procedural spawner, I’ve given up. I will be spending a couple of days over the next week replacing the spawned rocks with hand-placed prefabs. They look better, will allow the game to run faster, and they will almost completely eliminate the chance of the cats getting stuck on boulders.

Plus: this allows me to add a few hidden caves - something I've been wanting to do for a while...
Richard assures me that he is placing the final touches on the soundtrack & ambient audio. All we have to do is upgrade the sound engine - a quick process.

Again: I cannot see anything that will prevent the release of The Final Alpha by the end of this month.
I wish I could type a lot more, but due to the daylight savings time switch, my mind is a bit wobbly today.
See ya’ll again Friday! Thanks as always - and if you’ve yet to receive your premiums, please let us know!
