Going to do a quick video on this actually as it's funny how these things evolve - Switchbot solved the autonomous mopping challenge with their S10 Pro, now Narwal have tackled the handheld mopping game with theirs.
It's interesting how the Quadrant of Cleaning Automation is close to its completion.... which is a sentence that has never been said before in human history.... ;)

2024-10-19 07:48:47 +0000 UTCGreat question John, not having used the Bissell, but having a very similar Vax (and Bissell's site being suspiciously void of precise details which always makes me suspicious!), here's my thoughts. Bissell seems to be designed for general surfaces (eg carpets as well), the Narwal is dedicated for hard floors (tiles, wood etc). The Bissell doesn't appear to self-clean - the narwal heats up to kill bacteria and cleans itself when you put it back, so imagine the Bissell would be less hygienic, more prone to smells and more maintenance. Power-wise, the Bissell is vague, but know the Narwal is pretty much top of the industry, so strong suction. Couple of other features - Narwal are very chuffed with their anti hair clog tech (the roller flips directions so hair can't get tangled), this is pretty unique. Likewise the edge cleaning is very, very good - 1mm to the edge was my measurement, so although all vacuums claim edge cleaning, this is pretty much as tight as it gets. If you've got the Bissell already, I wouldn't rush out and buy one, but it's certainly a very capable device that I'd struggle without now I've got one, it's hard to stress how killer the ability to have it always ready to go and self cleaning - you can just grab it, mop something up and put it back in seconds... very neat!
