Yea if Brimscythe had had been more ancient he would have destroyed them. Blue dragons are probably the most dangerous next to red to be honest.

Mictla

When this happened in the campaign, the shock in everyone’s faces were gold.

Peter Lora

The older the dragon, the more powerful it is. And Brimscythe was 'only' an adult dragon...

I loved when you called Pike Captain America. If you recall, Ashley Johnson played the waitress flirting with/doting on Cap in the first Avengers movie! :-)

It’s also funny when the skyship explodes because the ice dragon misses it with its ice beam and just decides to Tackle it 😂

#SundauRundown Eyyy! 🐉 Dragon LORE: Dragons in D&D are tied to colors and metals! 🌈Chromatic Dragons (Colors) are normally evil and go by the following: ❄️White- Ice Dragons! Natural hunters, kinda dumb, and the bottom of the tier list! ☠️Black- Acid Dragons (also called skull dragons), Sadistic assholes that are stronger than they appear physically. Obsessed with power 🐍Green- Poison Dragons! The Little Finger’s of dragons. 3rd strongest, 3rd weakest, BUT DAMN ARE THEY SMART!! If you think you’ve outsmarted a green dragon, you haven’t… ☔️Blue- Storm Dragons (or Desert Dragons 🌵) The rain incarnate! Thunder and lightning very very frightening me! *Fun Fact*: Brimsythe (or however you spell it) was the youngest dragon so the others could push him around. If he were anywhere near their age he’d be constantly one upping Thordak with that Red vs Blue rivalry. 🔥RED!!!- Fire Dragons!!! You know ‘em. Think of a dragon, that’s these guys! Angry, greedy, prideful, the biggest and strongest of the colored dragons and they LOVE THAT THEY KNOW IT! Thordak is big even for red dragon proportions! (There’s also purple dragons but they live underground 🤫)

#SundayRundown From Matt Mercer’s perspective this episode is particularly wild - he created Emon. I believe he said the design/layout was something he sketched on a napkin a decade ago while on a plane. Then with the creation of this show, this city he imagined got turned into glorious reality when these talented animators (who were all critters) brought it to life Now, the city is destroyed…by his own plotline. All that dream realized, burned down to the ground And to think, this is all because some critter gifted Matt a set of dragon minis for Critmas (they had an annual gift unboxing segment called that)

#SundayRundown I know this question will eventually come up, probably from Pat, yes, dragons do have genitals. All the historical illustrations are wrong.

RIP the goat Lance man

Trey Milliner-Williams

Ancient dragons are like practically at the top of the Monster Manual food chain. Their CR is in the 20s. In 3E, they are classified as Great Wyrms. It says something of Matt Mercer that he can throw his players into a no win situation and manage to not TPK (Total Party Kill) the group. Because just one ancient dragon can easily TPK a group.

Robert Bonfante

That moment between where Keyleth asked if it was their fault and Percy establishing the plan had "long been in motion" was a conversation that went on for maybe 30 minutes to an hour in the campaign, coming up with more and more explanations of how they're to blame. Because at the end of the day at the core of a lot of these voice actors are a lot of theater kids, and you could tell they WANTED this to be their fault because they wanted the narrative weight of being responsible for all of this destruction, even though Matt couldn't let it be their fault for plot and logistical reasons.

"I just destroyed something i created. Its a weird feeling." -Matt Mercer post The Destruction of Emon.

For the crew: Thordak, the Cinder King (Red, Fire) Raishan (Green, Poison) Vorugal (White, Ice) Umbrasyl (Black, acid) (Not that you guys got it wrong they threw a lot of names.) This episode recaptured the complete shock and horror of watching the campaign. 3 hours of side quest and down time then BOOM! the party's main base is destroyed, beloved npcs dead or missing, and no idea how to survive. This season is going to be Awesome!

Bert In A Bin

#SundayRundown. Just to put things in perspective, Brimscythe (the dragon from episodes 1 and 2 last season) was MUCH younger and weaker than the 4 who show up this episode. He was somewhere between "Young" and "Adult" (so between 100 and 800). The other members of the Chroma Conclave are all Ancient Dragons, making them over 800 years old. Also, the voice actors are Lance Reddick for Thordak, Cree Summer for Raishan (Green Dragon, breathes poison gas), Matt Mercer for Umbrasyl (Black dragon, breathes/sprays acid), and Liam O'Brien for Vorugal (White Dragon, breathes ice).

Patrick

fyi: Dragons are a race like humans, elves and such they have high intelligent and yes there are males and females lol

Tamlin Lafleur

RIP Lance Reddick!!!! This was his last role I believe along with playing Zeus on Percy Jackson. He will always be Lt. Daniel’s to me but he played Thordak exceptionally in these two season !!!!!

Allan Jacob

Excited to see you guys go through this season. Been loving the reactions.
