We actually watched that movie a very long time ago. And that’s why no one mentioned anything. But if you go back to earlier season one episodes, you will hear us mentioning he is the guy from final destination 2 lol

The Normies

Oh it's this frakking episode.

Congrats - you made it through the worst episode of Battlestar Galactica

#Rundown Nicely recognized. I always refer to this as the Jack's tattoos episode of Galactica. I've never really though about them trying to make Apollo seem cool. He's the moral conscience of the show, and those tend to be a bit of a buzz kill. It's also why viewers get more frustrated with him when he does certain things - we want him to act more righteously, such as executing a child trafficker without hesitation, but there SHOULD be some doubt when shooting an unarmed man. And when Lee does fuck up, it's also frustrating, cause he should act and be better, but he has flaws, which is what the show is about - being human. But he's always been awesome. Go back to the miniseries, when Roslin' ship had a missile fired at it, and she and the pilot were trying to figure out where Lee, their escort was - and there Lee popped in, between the missile and them. Badass. I watched The Office as it aired, from when it started. The night that Scott's Tots aired, when it became clear early on which direction that episode was heading, I changed the channel. I couldn't bring myself to watch Michael do something so horrible. When I rewatched the show, I skipped that episode. When I caught The Office on Comedy Central, and there was a cold opening I didn't immediately recognize, I checked to confirm, and yep, there it was, and changed the channel again. I'd never seen more than five minutes of it. Until last year, when The Normies reacted to it - I finally set down and watched it. And as horrible it was to watch it play out, as cringy and God awful something like Michael's actions are, I know that on future rewatches, I'll now be able to watch it too. But I will still skip Black Market and Stranger in a Strange Land on rewatches of Galactica and Lost. No one should have to watch those.

All you need are chemists who understands pharmacology in order to make medicine from scratch. If you see the state of Baltar's lab for blood testing it's safe to assume they have other labs and equipment to synthesize medication (and stims) for day-to-day action and living.

Bit of a recap: Early in the series there was an unseen scientist who wanted to meet the President claiming to have information on how the Cylons breached Colonial defenses. That ship "got lost" in a jump, then later reappeared, and is subsequently shot down. A couple episodes later Gay-ass pisses off his mental 6 who then shows up in person claiming to be colleage of said scientist with the information he wanted to relay in the form of doctored images of him in the defense mainframe. She then hilariously (and I think deliberately) tried to seduce Adama who IMMEDIATELY called security to make sure she couldn't get off the ship. She was somehow already gone though, and it came out the images were doctored exhonerating Baltar. Thats how the fleet knows about No 6, not just the one from Pegasus.

Meh

Ah, "Black Market". The BSG equivalent of "Stranger in a Strange Land" in LOST.

It's always good to see the legendary Bill Duke. Just last week, a street name in his childhood home town was dedicated in his honor. https://hudsonvalleypress.com/2025/05/21/actor-bill-duke-presented-with-street-dedication/

Gaius Frakking Baltar

Legend Bill Duke. Don't forget it

I recently watched the group's reaction to Final Destination 2 and am surprised that no one recognized Chief Tyrol in the movie. He was the cop and had some significant scenes. I am extremely good at remembering faces, but this one seemed easy to spot, given how much everyone likes his character.
