After two days, here’s a new compilation. It took a bit longer than usual because I ran into a bunch of technical and connection issues. To make things worse, Dropbox is painfully slow when it comes to uploading large files.

Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous it got: I tried uploading a 70 GB file. At first, it estimated 5 hours—reasonable, right? I went to sleep, came back... and it was halfway done, now claiming it needed 12 more days. No joke.

And the cherry on top? I have a 500 Mbps internet connection. So clearly, Dropbox isn’t even using a fraction of that bandwidth, even though I’m paying $20 a month for the service. That’s why this compilation took longer than the others.

I did consider switching to another hosting service, but transferring everything would be a massive pain, and honestly, I couldn’t find a better alternative that’s worth the trouble. That said, I did find a temporary workaround for now.

From here on, I’m planning to upload the new compilations at a higher bitrate—meaning better quality, but also larger file sizes. If a compilation ends up being too long and the file gets ridiculously big, I might start uploading them in 1-hour parts to avoid this nightmare again. But that’ll be more of a rare exception; most compilations should still come out as a single video.
